They seem to have a stable of solid running backs.

The freshman Thornton leads the team in rushing after gashing Citidal. (It's Citidal but still). SO Tony Creecys got most of the carries so far and has done a solid job. I really like what I saw from Mustafa Greene two seasons ago before injury, he's getting carries again. Their leading rusher from last season, James Washington is also in the mix. SR Brandon Barnes also has 21 carries this season but only for 57 yards, perhaps a short yardage back?

Just like we read in the The More We Know segment Underwood seems to be the surehanded/red zone threat as Payton is their playmaker.

As you can see it's hard to tell if Glennon is improving after a lackluster first two games or if it's just attributed to the fact that he played nobodies the last two games. But he hasn't thrown a pick in three games.

This is the exact type of QB we make look like a star though. I watched a little of the UConn game on ESPN3 and the Huskies were sending a lot of blitzes at him early that seemed to rattle him.

Defensive stats seem rather pointless as tackles don't tell us much. Emerson has 3 int's already and the D backfield has 6. Impressive.

The Pack has 11 sacks as a team with the leader Ferguson with 2.

Miami has 5 sacks this season and has given up 6.

They've played no one worth a **** except Tennessee and they lost that one. Barely beat UConn. You can't put any stock in their stats.

Mustafa is suspended. Creecy did not play last game due to an injury so the FROSH Thornton got his first start and played well. Creecy is available this week and was named the starter. Both will play, however.

Just trying to get a read on the personnel we're going to see in this one, especially the running backs.

Has anyone seen them play this year and can comment on the team as a whole?

Yes. Their QB will shred us unless we have in fact improved since BC.

This will be a high scoring shoot out. Both side could rack up 500 plus yards.

We may very well lose this one if Donofrio doesnt bring the heat..alot.

We have no chance against NC State. The score will be more lopsided then the Kstate game. Mark it down.
score prediction: 70-24 them

Unfortunately, our DL has made opposing OL's look as good as the QB's. I would think D'Onofrio would be getting a feel for who to have in the game at CB and let them start playing press coverage more. LB's have to get their act together too and start covering the RB's and TE's. They were good for 200 yards at BC.

I actually watched their games against Tenn and Uconn.
On the offense, their rbs are just average imo. But Glennon is really sharp w/o pressure. Their OL are big but looked slow. Uconn did a very good job penetrating into the backfield and bringing pressure. I would like to see more playing time from McCord and Terry.
On their defense side, I think their weakness is their front 7. We should take advantage of hot and humid weather and deep depth on OL, wear the defense down by a power running game

6 INTs? ****

They did same ish last year. They have a couple stud asst coaches on defensive side of ball. Tenuta is one of the best

The big difference with this game as opposed to the BC game is the Frosh have been on the field and have seen a lot of things. They won't be wide eyed anymore. They aren't seasoned vets by any means but they do know what to expect now. This means Coach Ohno can dial up more blitzes then he did vs BC. Not saying our D is gonna be solid Sat but it should be better then they were at BC.

We put up over 600 yards ans 42 pts on a pretty good D last week. I don't see NC State being able to stop us. Can we keep from stopping ourselves, is another question altogether. This team on Sat is not better then us in any way.

Do we play like we are capable of and run these bishes off the field or do we keep them in it? Is this team really turning the corner and becoming a team that is ready to win games they are supposed to? Let's hope Golden has them ready and we can have a 3 game winning streak.

dogCane, I was thinking the exact same thing. Get McCord and Terry in and put some quick rush on that QB.

Wish we'd have Denzel back, but rather him take another week off and be ready for Notre ****.

I have a bad feeling about this game. Glennon is the type of ham and egger we make look like Joe Montana. Based on what I've seen of this defense thus far it seems like we are going to struggle against any offense that is not one dimensional, especially with DP out. I hope I'm wrong.
