Look to the Transfer Portal: Discussion thread

Its all gonna come down to the timing of the House settlement's approval.

It basically caps NIL at $600. Anything above $600 has be given the ok by the clearinghouse.

NIL deals on the books before House is approved are ok.

If its approved before the portal opens, Nico won't be able to get more money from anyone, Tenn included.

But if House is not approved before the portal opens, its gonna be wild. Schools will have one final opportunity to spend and players will have one last chance to get paid. Nico wouldn't be the only big name in the portal.

That cap will go away the second anybody challenges it.

This is similar to the Horton situation imo, Good on heupel for standing his ground.

That set a major precedent to both CFB & the team imo, don’t bite the hand that feeds you.
I mean maybe but isn’t it just as likely that Nico gets the money he wanted elsewhere? Maybe we all just need to see how it all shakes out before coming up with grand pronouncements.

That’s a cool tweet, but none of those guys sat out a practice because coaches wouldn’t give them a 50% increase in pay

Context is everything. I agree. Big difference with what Nico is doing.

He should shove this tweet up his ***

LMAO.

Say No to Nico-Team

Not a fan of how he and his team handled this. Truth is idgaf what happens to him.

Not up to speed with Horton, but I agree with not biting the hand that feeds you. Though some say that goes both ways. Truth is I was just relaying the info to the board.
