Facts. Wes seems to have diehard defenders on the board but he's just not good enough. Either he accepts a lesser role next year or time to hit the bricks.

Heard from some that Wes/Alderman need to take a lot to blame for lack of understanding of the defense. Freelancing too much.

Popo’s injury set back the defense as his role was growing.

Then obviously Jaden Harris. I know a few guys from his HS staff that are biting their tongue on Harris right now. Premier athlete but hasn’t played a ton of football in his life and it’s showing.

Can't say I'm surprised. Like Popo a lot. Still needs to improve too but it didn't take a football savant to see how much more upside he has compared to Wes/Alderman. Harris my lord, so bad, nothing more I can even say that hasn't been said.
 
@Memnon can Brian Blades II play here or he is a G6 ceiling?

Wondering if he’s an easy portal grab now that MacIntyre is fired and he’s a legacy. At worst he could be depth with experience

this is what a kid like Nix probably sees though. Popo plays sideline to Sideline and Pruitt seems to have a knack for making plays yet those two and Kiko play over them.

He could in some context.

But he probably would be exposed playing against ACC WR's & wouldn't play as well as he did at FIU.

He's played the majority of his career as an Outside Corner, he played 7 games at Boundary & 6 games at Field this season. But, if he came here we would probably try to make him play Nickel & it wouldn't end well.

He'd be a depth piece more than anything.

I’d take it as an easy depth piece. Agree he shouldn’t start here and shouldn’t be a nickel.

I know popo was hurt, I believe Washington had some injuries too but it's not just the understanding, it's the lack of technique from our CB's and DL. what are they teaching them? I just want a fresh start on Defense.
