Most won’t find teams bc they over estimate their own value like a few listed said they had like 400 yards. Where u going bro ? 400 yards ain’t getting u paid. But they are grown men in college making a decision. They have to live with it. The grass ain’t always greener

Plus lets not count out that some of these kids know they arent P5 caliber and will drop down to FCS level. Some of them are not as delusional as we might think. They have had some hard conversations with their coaches and they were told the real. Better to continue to get a full scholie and guaranteed playing time for an FCS school then have nothing at all.
 
Teams are going to have to learn to take the pro sports route and if they lose more than they thought and they don't have a plan or money to sign the replacements then hose the season and do not take any kids that announces for the portal back on the team. They have to let them know its a risk or this will go wild wild west.

Tommy Pham hit in the 3 hole of the world series last year but overplayed his worth during the offseason and is not on any roster right now. If your gonna play big league, you better know your worth and be prepared for the risk.

I do think for this to work out for all, teams should be able to let high paid NIL players go during the season.

from the numbers the past 2-3 years most don’t find another school. I think ur giving them too much humility. Plus including Juco and new HS recruits coming in it just makes it so hard for the lesser transfers. Most should stay put and continue to grind and keep that free schooling. Too many jump ship too quickly

Other than QB, DT has to be the most coveted portal pickup IMO. Those guys are so hard to find and they're often head cases like Burroughs.

OT but we focus on the few super talented kids we want out of the portal. Meanwhile, most kids going into the portal are f'd. Most would be lucky to land at FIU. Some will be thanking the saints they made the roster at McNeese State. Others will be working at McDonald's come September.
