I disagree. Clemson tried to focus on high school recruiting and keeping its own guy and fell behind.

The portal has made it so you can't take your foot off the gas and you have no excuse to go into a season with a hole. You need to find a starter you better be working the portal and have a young guy coming in that can play by midseason just incase.

I rather Ole Miss win SEC titles than the traditional guys. Lane does well in the portal but we generally dont cross paths with them on the trail as much as UGA, Bama, A&M etc.
