Look how Ermon Lane showed up at UF

If Quincy wants an offer he is doing it the wrong way. When you "REALLY" want something you should go out and get it. That means staying in touch with the school, going to camps and being open to a position change. If you don't want something than do as you please. We know Golden likes maturity.

If something is your "DREAM" than do whatever is necessary to achieve that dream.

Quincy has attended every camp and function this school has offered and has balled out at all of them. He has been doing exactly what you are saying for quite some time now, just obvious he is frustrated at this point. Not making excuses or bashing Golden just pointing out the kid has gone out there at every opportunity.

Something is going on behind the scenes here, has to be.

just get this kid a **** offer. he's a legacy who has a ton of offers. Bring him in as a CB like he wants, let our WR's burn his *** in practice and make him realize hes a safety. he seems to be boys with every kid in So Fla and his dad obviously has some pull in the HS ranks as well. He's a better player than AJ Highsmith or RLIII ever was. I dont really get this one

They probably think he is too slow and stiff to play corner. Quincy is a suppose to be a 4.4 guy (I thought he was too) but apparently he runs in the 4.7/8. He must have not impressed the coaches with his talent if they haven't pulled the trigger yet.

Is that why he refuses to play Safety? He isn't doing it, he can do PART of it but he isn't fully doing it. So don't tell me someone REALLY wants something if they are unwilling to do what may be necessary.

Yes, something could be going on behind the scenes. Maybe coaches are wrong with their evaluations or maybe they are right. Maybe it is something else.

This kid has not done everything and when you refuse to put the team (i.e. willing to change positions), someone who is borderline is really hurting their case.

Let us not forget that it is still SPRING EVALUATIONS. Let us not forget that everyone who will get an offer from Miami has not received an offer from Miami at this moment.

A few things.

1. AJ was offered under a different regime a scholarship as a QB. Not sure how this is relevant because Al inherited him from another Regime. Quincy may be a better player than AJ but not sure how that is relevant today, he will be done with Miami before Quincy ever enrolls in school (this is AJ last year).

2. RLIII did everything the coaches asked him to do and (this is key) he is willing to lineup where ever the coaches want him to play. He will put the team first. I don't think you realize how important this TEAM FIRST mentality is to Al.

3. Why have coaches, just ask the players where they want to play. It's Al show, whether you agree or not. If he doesn't want the kid, he doesn't have to take him. If he only wants him at Safety, that is also his choice. Al will live and die by these choices.

In fact, let the fans coach. Let them pick our roster.

He lists himself at 4.4 & ESPN lists him at 4.7. That's the discrepancy. I'm not a QW fan because I don't believe he has the technique and hips to play corner but I do believe he's faster than 4.7. Judging by his highlights he has quick burst in short areas & I truly believe he's a mid 4.4 to 4.5 speed. He's fast and I don't dispute that at all. Just doesn't have any technique. In D1 his athleticism won't get him very far unless he learns the necessary skills & moves positions.

Wow that's crazy. I would've never guessed him to be that slow. 16 reps on bench at 185 isn't bad but 38" vert? Smh

Not beating this Quincy thing into the ground any further. It is what it is and pretty much everyone commenting on it, including myself, dont know the exact details. Just hoping we can make it work somehow in the future but I dont see it

I don't know what you guys are talking about but there are a ton of pics on facebook and instagram with Ermon Lane wearing a Gators Jersey and a Gators hoodiel. I don't know how to link but its all over the place just check out his twitter.

Maybe now some people will understand why a 200 pound corner who runs a 4.8 doesn't have an offer.

That is fine. I don't know the details of Quincy and Miami. I do know that if I (not Quicy but myself) really want something, I go out and get it. I don't burn bridges and I maximize the potential of the even occurring (willing to go the extra mile).
