they are transferring per canesport.

I liked lockhart alot but at least it opens two spots. maybe they are expecting to add to 2013 class.

I liked Lockhart as well, but WR is stacked so it won't hurt much. Williams looked pretty soft when I watched him play.

i hope malcom returns to form because he is great. Herb Waters really stepped up plus we have coley, dorsett, scott, hurns, etc alot of comp. We are stacked there.

Lockhart had some potential but watching how quickly Malc stepped in shows the disparity between the two guys. Not that he wouldn't or couldn't contribute down the road but I was more curious to see him on defense.

Too bad for Rico we fattened him up all to **** and now he's on his own.

too bad. Kid looked like a great athlete. Should have been given/taken a shot at S. We need players at that spot.

**** shame on Lockhart. I think he can wind up being a really really good WR if he dedicates himself and can pick up a playbook.

Rico leaving means the depth at DE must be greatly improved, and that's a good thing.

But it's shocking to me that this guy was in the 2-deep during this past season, but now, won't come close to seeing the field next year.

Maybe this D will make a big positive jump in 2013-2014 ...

The thing that stuck out with Lockhart was his ability to go up and get the ball, it was elite. He was very athletic and things like that pop off the screen but there is more to being a good WR than just that. Malcolm on the other hand is very good at every aspect of the position, it won't be as flashy but it will be more effective. I think that Lockhart might be making a mistake here, it is way too early to transfer if the decision is entirely based on play time and the depth chart. The other kid, good luck but could care less.

I'm guessing Lockhart, with the injury and with Coley/Griffin coming in and Lewis coming back, thought he would fall even further behind in the depth chart this year.

Yeah man, good post. Malc is like a more talented Pimp Collier IMO. There were some talented WR's in that class but Pimp was on the field immediately because he was a quick study and knew how to run routes.

It was pretty well known that Lockhart struggled learning the playbook. Definitely a talented kid but he was already so far behind before the injury, it basically sealed his fate unfortunately.

At least we kept him off of VT I guess.

Lockhart should've waited to get back on the field before making any decision like this IMO. Kid has to still be rehabbing his ACL, would have liked to see more fight in him. Good luck bro.

not sure. Personally, I would take a shot on that kid Keeon Virgile, the linebacker. he seems like an animal on the field

Lockhart just caught a ****** break. Had an injury at an aweful time and then a guy like Waters stepped up big. He would probably RS this year any way so a transfer doesn't hurt him. Hope he catches on somewhere, he seems to have a lot of potential. Our WR depth chart isn't that inviting right now with Hurns, Dorsett, Scott, Lewis, Waters all seem to be proven or somewhat proven. Coley will push for immediate time. Then Carter and Scott.

Rico just didn't seem to be good enough to see the field
