Sign me up for an early Max Johnson commit. I doubt he would waiver either his family ties to CMR unless we just unravel come fall. Haven’t seen many QB’s for next cycle but sounds like he could potentially be a top 3 guy.

Gathering notes I took and some recruiting nuggets I’ve been saving for last few days I’ve gathered. Had a few other standouts but didn’t have their names when I walked into camp, got them after. Let me just say that there is something in the water in Jacksonville, they have been producing some legitimate prospects at a high rate recently.

Carlos Del Rio was very good. I was watching him and some of the other QBs during 7on7 ,and when Jon Richt had his 6 elite QBs off to the side working with them.

Javonte Kinsey who was wearing #53, was the most consistent and best WR I saw today. He’s 2020 and plays for Sandalwood in Jacksonville.

Devon Lingle was good during individual drills, same for Max Johnson. Both had some struggles in 7on7. Max did have some WOW throws but they need to reign him in a bit and work on his touch.(He physically reminds me of Sitkowski, built in a lab)

Jeff Sims from Sandalwood. 2020 QB was good as well.

Anthony Richardson another 2020 QB was the other most physically impressive QB I saw aside from Max. I know the family pretty well and stayed toward the end with them. I believe Miami is VERY close to offering him. Will have more on that in my write up and an interview with him and Kinsey this coming week.

Write up will consist of the camp on Friday and today’s camp, along with updates regarding recruiting and some notes heading into Miami’s Elite Prospect BBQ “Miami Nights” tonight.

I think Dalton Botts, the punter from CA was a JUCO during the Golden errora.

He was solid from what I recall.

I don't think any of the last few coaches have taken too many JUCOs.

Butch took a bunch and almost all were successful.

For every Shockey though Im willing to bet there is a Beau Sandland, Dayall Harris and Jhavonte Dean though. I know we havent had much success in JUCO recently.
