How do you veteran recruiting guys see our linebacker room developing on the recruiting front. We seem to be shoring up all the Manny screwups but I just feel like we are still in need here. I know we picked up a few transfers. Other than nailing down a top receiver do you agree and what are we doing about this ?

They are recruiting bigger LBs, taller atleast. As for the coming season, I think we will use more DBs, 3 safeties at times and 3 CBs those type of things. Also our LBs are not as bad as people make out. They were in an unsound scheme that didn't emphasis fundamentals.
 
I don’t know about the recruiting side but i trust in this scheme and the new transfers on the dline, with strong and steele coaching them I think our LB play will be good this year. And that will attract top recruits

As of right now we dont have a clear alpha or standout but I think it will be alot better and good enough to where it wont drag the defense down like it has in past years

With Mario, and his defensive staff, the last thing you need to worry about, is recruiting. We will get good LBs. We will be fine. Things have changed. Manny and Blake ain’t running **** anymore. Buckle up and enjoy the ride. If there’s a hole in the depth chart, Mario will fill it. He is relentless on the recruiting trail. He got this.
 
Many has easily corrected like I said the Manny goofs accept linebacker. And I guess the quick consensus is we will be ok but would like to see a true stud gamechanging middle linebacker recruited in this class and that’s not happening yet.

So if there is not a person that cares to really tell us what we are doing about acquiring a truly great stud middle linebacker and a few compliments and can contribute here to my question we can just close the thread. Because basically I’m just seeing opinions ..thank you

If the rumors are true, we're sitting in a great spot for Malik Bryant. I think he becomes a MLB for us.

I expect our LBs to look better this year because of coaching and a more LB-friendly scheme. Our defensive philosophy will be more fundamentally sound up front, which in turn will put our LBs in a better position to succeed than under the previous regime. Recruiting-wise, I'm not concerned. Still in it for a couple big dawgs, and I trust Cristobal, Steele, Strong, & company to bring in some real ones.

Did you really start a thread with an overly broad title and then ask for it to be closed because a recruiting insider didn't respond to your question within 90 minutes on a Sunday morning?

I'm going to edit your title to help you out, but c'mon, man, you are way too old to be that impatient!
