Good chance this has been posted but I found this video that wasn't around on signing day, including the Miramar highlights.

I had no idea he played so much at RB and WR, and was 1st team All-State/All-County in a pretty **** good 8-A region in Tampa. He was pretty much the best player on a 8A state championship team that went ahead and beat Miramar by 11.

Why in the world did this kid have such average offers/ratings?

Idk but I think he beasts out this year. Fastest and most athletic cb on the team. And once he gets jos hands on a pic that Rb side of him will do wonders, big things in this kids future!
 
cuz he almost commited to GT before he was told not to visit UM - late visit..Seriously, this kid is a balla. True football player. I saw him play against malcolm and i said to myself, WTF is this kid only a 3 star... Anyhow, glad to have him on the team. He will start this year for sure. Lock him in fellas. He gets it!!
 
I feel like he's going to be a big time player for us and give us a guy who can play the nickel or outside when needed. T. Howard and Crawford seem to battling for the start opposite Gunther so it should be a competitive camp.
 
I'm a fan of what he's shown so far. Good cover skills. Has been beaten in coverage less than Tracy Howard so far. Good athleticism. I also think he makes a big jump this season. Crawford, howard, gunter, and artie burns is a nice little nucleus.

Call me crazy, but im not sold on Gunter yet. He is constantly getting beat (Spring highlights this year -Dorsett multiple times, last year vs Scott in the spring last year etc). Very aggressive, but is lacking lateral quickness IMO. Again, i think Howard beats him out for the starting job and will be playing adjacent to Crawford at the begining of the season.
 
Man, We need a few of these kids to have a pretty big jump this year. We cant wait for 4 years of development for all these kids. No more excuses. No more 100th ranked defense.

tracy has been working hard on his conditioning. i think him and crawford will be do well this year. they played alot last year.
 
I have heard the staff is very high on our dbs and is looking to get them involved in a variety of ways. I assume it's because a number of these young guys are showing well.

one play last year in the last game with USF...he got separated from the Wr or Back on a hitch route or wheel route and made up ground like Deion...I was very impressed..he is a sleeper and should be all ACC this year as a CB
 
If those chicks at ESPN think DB is our weakest spot they need to be fired. That's absurd. The best CB's in the NFL would have trouble with no pass rush.

Artie Burns and Elder will have sonething to say about who is the fastest cb on the team.

Also i think Gunter is more athletic... hits like a safety with good speed. Did a very good job defending Rodney Smith and Kelvin Benjamin last year vs FSU.

Edit: Crawford imo is very talented but he seems to get "lost" on the field too often... wat i mean is he doesnt make plays and is rarely aroubd the ball.

I think Howard is better b/c of that fact... howard is a lesser athlete then Crawford but Tracy makes more plays.

Speed is a factor but over rated...Mcgee could fly..he was Okay at best
 
Am I the only one who thinks Gunter's best position long term could be safety?

He's a good player, I think he can play either position in college....but I've always thought this.
