Let's do another mock class

QB Kevin Olsen (most important player in the class)
RB Alex Collins (Marshawn Lynch 2.0)
WR Levonte Whitfield
WR Johnell Barnes (optimistic, but my favorite WR this year, ahead of Cunningham, plus the kid has the ability and desire to play defense)
TE De´Angelo Reynolds (5* attitude)
TE Chritian Morgan (apparently loves us, as should all TEs)
OL Denver Kirkland
OL Marcell Lazard (brother convinces him to come down here )
OL Joe Fennell
--------------------------
DT Quay Bain
DT Jaynard Bostick
DT Keith Bryant (DTs are too good this year not to take 3)
DE Alvonte Bell
DE Paul James
LB Matthew Thomas (best prospect in Florida?)
LB Jermaine Grace (no brainer IMO)
S Jamal Carter
S/CB Artie Burns
CB Rashard Robinson (sleeper leapfrogs others)
Ath Jayron Kearse (I think he will end up on defense)

That´s twenty names. Just seems to me like we would have to leave out so much talent:

-DL is going to have me in tears at who we leave out (Calloway? Nelson? Sherit? Stacey Thomas? how can they not be in a mock class? But who do you swap them for?)
-No George Williams, Deeb, Jeremy Benjamin or Wendell Dunn = :(
-Can´t mock McKenzie and Hargreaves, although I´m sure the staff will work their butts off to get in the picture;
-At WR, Cunningham would be someone I would prefer over D´Mauri or Jontavious any day of the week;
-TE and OL is difficult, so many prospects out there at the moment, so few "must gets";

And I left out Ray Lewis because I still don´t believe he will be using up one of our scholarships.

That's a really good Class, Who is the CB though? I've never heard of him, any film?

Rashard Robinson´s a CB from Ely HS who is just starting to emerge. Wild guess on my part putting him in there, I can´t see the staff taking zero CBs. But he also has the size to be a safety. Remove him from the mock and replace with an OL, or a Stacey Thomas or Monty Nelson and you may be sitting even prettier. No film, just three plays from the recent ESS Combine:

Some nice clips on the CB. I'm a big Barnes fan as well and seeing him again.. wow. Hope he shows out in camps and gets an offer.

Was just offered by FSU and says Miami wants him come down for the spring game. Says he just starting a relationship with Miami and likes them very much.

The guy who really jumps out on that film, to me at least, is Johnell Barnes. Don't know if we can find a spot for him this year but great looking athlete.

As far as LBs go, I would prefer George Williams to Grace or Deeb. I'd love to have them all but if we have to make tough choices I like Williams.

Also i think its critical we take at least 2 Ends and 2 DTs this year. D line is the area we really need to build up numbers.

Every time I see clips of Barnes he looks impressive as ****, but still gets no love from "recruiting experts".

I would take him for sure.

My favorite WR this season. Elite quickness, great hands and body control. Lots of growth potential as he won´t turn 18 til august ´13 and his dad is 6´5.

Is there any game film of him anywhere? I haven't seen any.

SoFla guys know about him and like him. The problem is he is 155 pounds and isn't fast (quick as **** though). Also, when you goggle his name the first result is his mugshot from when he was 14. Not a big deal because it was some BS but it doesn't help.

If the class was 22 he would be a no brainer because he can be a WR or CB...but with limited spots...idk where we stand. Some really good guys are going to have to be left out of our class this year.

IMO this may be his advantage in a small class.

Could be. I think he will really impress them at camp. He is a bright kid too, could go the Stanford/UCLA route if he wanted to.

Came to me in a dream last night:

QB - Olsen
RB - Collins
WR - Cunningham
TE - Johnson, Dobard, Kerr
OL - Gall, Kirkland, Klepal
DE - Sherit
DT - Bryant, Bain, Bostwick
LB - Thomas, Grace
CB - Hargreaves
S - Burns, Carter, Lewis III

That's 19 kids (which we'll have room for if Dillard doesn't get in). I'm thinking these Tampa kids are gonna jump on the bandwagon and go to school together. We'll end up accepting Sherit in order to get Hargreaves, and Klepal is part of that clique so he'll come too.

If Lewis III ends up walking on, we probably take a 2nd rb to replace Dillard.

That would be an excellent class.

I'd love to see us bring in Whitfield and Coley (preps and comes in for '14).

I just really don't think we end up with more than 2 DT's this year. Plus the odds of all three of those guys coming are pretty slight.

If those 3 guys want in, we'll take them.

We desperately need impact players at DT.

Bostwick will be more of a tackle/end hybrid, which we need more of to successfully run a 3-4 (Grimble, Pierre, Briscoe).

So Bostwick would count 1/2 to tackle, 1/2 to end.

As I said, I don't think we end up with all three. Odds are against it.
