Lets be real

Don't do this to yourselves.

Stevenson is the type of talent and athletic freak that will have $EC teams dropping big bag$.

If Bogle waits till February, then I feel the same about him.

Those are the 2 top guys left down here (that draw out the 6 digit bags) now that Clem$on has locked up Lad$on.



Jobe signed in February too, with Baga, and he was definitely bought.

Even if Stevenson would verbally commit to us before the season (when he originally said he wanted to announce), I wouldn't believe it till he signs.





UGA is out to prove that they can continue to recruit at the same level and are coming after Stevenson hard.

Supposedly Saban is all ****ed about the last recruiting cycle and they plan to out do UGA's record setting class of 8 5stars (was told by a huge Baga fan that is in the family that boosters are shooting for 10 5stars this cycle lol).

Auburn was right there this year, and even beat their most hated rival Baga, but them still winning the NC has Auburn boosters pulling out the big bags this cycle already pulling the best OLB from Georgia.

Also expect to see Tenne$$ee pull some players nobody expected (hopefully not Bogle) b/c Pruitt (like Smart) learned how the best shadow booster system in college football history is run, and he (like Smart) will be bringing that knowledge to his new school.

Expect the $pending for top recruits (especially in the $EC) to get out of hand even more this year.


You would think it would be the other way around and teams would be doing less cheating (buying recruits) with the college basketball scandal, but these big $EC teams know that the NCAA won't go after them, so they continue the arms race.

To me, sounds like instead of mobilizing donations for a banner...we should take on crowd sourcing funds for these kids like we are starting a kickstarter.

I have to think the FBI is fairly deep into a football investigation at this point. You don’t out guys like Coach K and Bill Self unless you mean business. Eventually the NCAA will have to crack down or risk being blown up IMO. The bag game is top heavy for the most part, but there is strength in numbers for all those smaller schools.

This could be years away though. And until it happens, we are at a huge disadvantage and likely won’t be a perennial contender unless we can win a natty and get some real momentum.

This is crazy how we still talking about stars!! Miami commits will always have low star counts.. I guarantee IF Dent was still attached to Miami as a COMMIT, he would be a mid 4 star.. Stevenson is ahead of Dent as a uncommitted prospect, let him commit to Miami and see what happens to his rankings!! Miami WILL ALWAYS have these 3 star commits, because these rankings always f'ing UM commits...

Yeah, when we get top guys they commit early and skip the games. If they wait until NSD, they're looking for "inducements", and we all know who wins that battle.

Miami just last year signed multiple prospects who were good enough to receive bags from the sec YET they still signed with Miami. Quit worrying so much about that .


Look at the situation, Stevenson visited Miami in one week more than Campbell visited Miami’s campus for the entire cycle... that’s a stark difference. Because remember Campbell went to a basketball game early February, attended a scrimmage not on campus for Miami, went to like 1 practice in the fall and attended the Notre Dame game(off campus). Skipped all of Miami’s main recruiting events the bbq and paradise camp. Stevenson won’t do that

Miami's track record with the five star kids of recent vintage is spotty. The few that waited to late...

Arthur Brown was a religious nut and had to pray it out.
Brandon Harris took a bunch of visits, but admitted, after, it was just to help get his teammates offers/exposure, hence why he went to like UCF.
Seantrel Henderson originally signed with USC then the sanctions hit and he didn't have much interest after...IIRC, it was down to Miami and Ohio State.

I guess Tracy Howard, of recent vintage was the only player that came down to the wire where he took all of his visits, etc before committing to Miami.

I think its a solid assumption that we just aren't landing the 5* kids if they drag the process out unless its a weird situation.

It's not that we don't land guys good enough to get bags, it's that we don't land guys who are out for bags. Our guys commit early because they want to play for Miami. The ones who want "love" find that other teams show them more and they go to one of those teams. Kids don't wait until NSD because they really can't make a decision, they wait to see who shows the most "love".

You've been here for awhile, you know this.

You're right, I'm sure they will be better prepared this season. I think they and all of us were surprised by the amount of kids that signed early across the country

I think the kids that signed early werent going to be flipped Im pretty sure bama knew that it was the others who were still open and had visits lined up, its hard to tell which kids are which but we always have an idea of who tho$e schools will do what they must to get them on there team. They go after the family thats what they do.
 
Miami will just have to recruit til the very end for the top SoFla recruit's.. It's the same situation every year, Miami gets their share of the top talent from SoFla BUT their is one or two every year that brings our Canes to the alter and leave us hanging!!

With this Surge19' group, Miami will get the player's they want BUT this group isn't like last year's bunch!! This bunch will let the recruiting process drag on (some might even commit elsewhere), BUT for the most part it will be the year Miami fans will have to wait it out til the very end and those big name recruit's will then pull the trigger and pick "The U".. Every year is different, every class is different and I just have that feeling this Surge19' bunch will just make us sweat it out til the end BUT we will be satisfied for what we end up with...
