QB - Allison
RB - Homer
WR - Bruce, Mullins, Richards, Williams, Davis
TE - Irvin, Haskins
OL - +1?
DL - Bethel, Jackson, +1 DT?
LB - Quarterman, McCloud, Pinckney
DB - Byrd, Young, Wright, Miller, Finley

That would mean closing on:

Richards
Davis
Haskins
Finley
Miller

Adding an OL and DT somewhere, and keeping Williams and Byrd.

Thoughts?

I just don't know who we'd get. Southall is a longshot. Maybe we flip Guidry? Or perhaps a left-field name... just not seeing it right now.

Shoot thanks - I knew I was messing something up. So there's our slot for a DT lol...

Take more than 21. On OL and 2 - DT's. There will some attrition after spring practice. Seniors with degrees can transfer immediately to other D1 schools and play right away. O'Donnell, Moore and Jones could be three that leave.

Would be a great class considering Richt and his staff had littler time to close. I know everyone wants an OL, but we signed so many last year that it wasn't a need for Golden and it was a long shot we signed a quality one this year.

That group of receivers and defensive backs can make an impact from day 1. Would probably give us a top-15 (my guess s is 12 or 13??) class and something to build on with local guys like Bruce, Richards and Byrd staying home.

Our options at DT are Southall, Guidry, Kobe Jones, or flip Thompson

OL= Tre Johnson

I heard 22 or 23.

Assuming we're at 15 now, my guess is that we finish with:

1. Richards
2. Southall
3. Haskins
4. Miller
5. Davis
6. Finley/Stove
7. Surprise

My darkhorse pie-in-the-sky surprise would be Shyeim Carter. Richt and Co. seem to be making a huge late push for him. Probably for naught, but it'd be nice.

Carter would be an amazing pull at the end. Doubtful, but with the staff going to visit him and his midweek visit to LSU it makes me think he isn't quite the lock to Alabama that everyone thinks.

yeah his recruitment has seemed a bit weird to me. Just - quietly all over the place... That's why it wouldn't necessarily surprise me if he ended up here, just not banking on it.

Have we quit on Carlos Becker? I really like him man...kid looked like a great DB. I knew he would be a tough pull as a kid from Kissimmee.

I got Eli Stove as the dark horse lol

Looks reasonable and pretty dang solid given the conditions of the year. Possible QB of the future, monster WR, monster LB, monster CB. Goal for next year - obviously we gotta hammer the **** out of OL/DL, and land a big dog game-changer type at both RB (IMO) and S.
