Let the battle begin......

The question is deductibility which I doubt any of them do. The next issue is gift tax. Yo can give 14,000 to as many people as you want without paying any gift tax so you take the kid ,his mom and dad, brothers and sisters, throw in a couple of uncles and you can give a lot of money. Furthermore if the donor is married you can join with her and give twice as much.

A lot of folks own property believe it or not, and that leads them down the itemized deduction route and trying to build in unrated deductions into their filing portfolio.

My mom is a federal auditor with Finra and my brother works for the IRS in their Tax Crime division. I've spoken with him about all this money going on in Football recruiting and he said something of the sort of pay attention to the news in the next couple of months. He also said he would be shocked if the NCAA is still around in 10 years. He wouldn't give me the specifics but the term "Racketeering" has been thrown around.

I too know somebody in the "Tax Crime Division" (doesn't want his name on here) and I'm told the reason why it's taking so long is They are gathering so intel that is mind boggling. The IRS is going to level the playing field in College Football in the next 5 years and then look out. UM will be in the best situation of any team in the country. :)

I just see the entire model of the NCAA crumbling in the next 5-10 years.

My brother threw out terms like Tax Evasion, Wire Fraud, Money Laundering, Bribery by Public Officials(Remember Public University College Coaches are Public Officials), Tax Fraud. He also told me 1 of the main investigators has a real vendetta against College Football. Wouldnt tell me just but he just said he hates College Football. Someone somewhere ****ed off the wrong person.

I am not advocating that it's right, just stating that a large amount of people do it each year.

I agree that there are lots of people who vote to have the government give them things and then cheat on their taxes. They should go to jail and as felons lose the right to vote.

Don't know if we have or ever had a shot with Jadon Hasselwood but this is worth reading. He was at Auburn's big recruitment event this weekend (apparently the 2nd visit in two weeks) and said some pretty leading things in his post visit interview.

This is the link to a thread in another site - pretty interesting

How much cash will AU throw at Jadon Haselwood?

This is how sad it has become.

Alabama fans have simply now gone with the line "everyone cheats, we just do it better than you do"....

Not surprising their rivals feel like they should be able to be as cavalier about it as well....bullet proof. lol...facking pathetic.

The Georgia comment is pretty hilarious...though so many said it wasn't $$$$ for Smart, it was that he is better than Richt...lmfao.

Felons lose the right to vote until they are off Papers then they can reapply to Vote

Drewmny, your mom would be familiar with the term"red flag". Compliance is brutal in th securities business. It's an absolute FINRA require anyone in the securities business to report any suspicious activity that could possibly suggest money laundering. If they see a red flag that you should have seen they will nail your a.. to the wall. That kind of thinking is what the NCAA ought to implement.
- Teams are required to police their own teams. ( Look for red flags)
For example new cars, jewelry, gifts, Unexpected commitments etc.
- If you miss a red flag that you should have seen and don't investigate-Severe penalty
- if you investigate a player and are not satisfied with answers and don't dismiss the player- Severe penalty.
- Require a player to sign a form acknowledging that he is aware of the penalty.
- Require a disclosure as part of the LOI that no financial inducement was received as part of their decision.
- Failure to investigate rumors of fans being engaged in making payments to players-subject to severe penalties.
- Tell your Mom to resign and go to work for the NCAA. She'll show them how to get everyone in line.

(Tell your mom that I never had a complaint in my over forty years as a licensed representative)

I'll believe all this investigation shlt by the IRS, all this RICO, all this wire fraud stuff, when it actually happens.

I’ve heard it all before.

Yet the SEC continues to pay millions in player salaries and bonuses every year (led by Alabama), and has been doing so for decades.

Wake me up when there is an actual investigation that is confirmed by an actual credible source. Otherwise, it’s all just message board fantasy chatter.

Nothing’s changing until then and right now there’s nothing.

Didn’t even mention us lol.

“With that being said getting a ton of questions on Jadon Haselwood. I have said a while now this is going to be a battle all the way until the end. My stance has not changed here. I will say don’t count my comments as Oklahoma being the biggest threat as Auburn not having a shot either. They have had him on campus multiple times and recently. Yes he was in Athens few days ago as well and I was told that visit went good like all of them have for him. Point here is he is a major playmaker at WR, he is big time target for a lot of schools. UGA has him, they have had him for a while now. I am still staying with his signs with UGA in the end. This is going to be a LONG ride following this one though, so don’t get too caught up in every article or post about him from anyone.”

I know no one was counting on this kid, but don’t waste your breath on it.

He mentioned Miami and Oklahoma specifically just 2-3 weeks ago after his visit

Y’all think Miami don’t have bag men? 🤣🤣🤣 I assure you that we do.
Really?

If you think that, you are either a troll or doesn't know **** about Miami and our booster situation.

We may have had guys like Nevin Shapiro offer "extra benefits" to players already on the team (like every program in the country), but even Nevin (who wanted us to get the death penalty) mentioned that he could never get into the huge bidding wars for top recruits with the big $EC programs, and that actually gives you a competitive advantage on the field.

Straight up cheating!

And since that little **** wanted us to go down, all he would have had to tell the NCAA was I bought this recruit, that one and this one for Miami, and we would have been done.

There is a reason that even though we are located in the most fertile recruiting location in the universe we have only signed one #1 class (Shannon's first class in 2008 that was extremely overrated) and the next highest rated class other than that was this year's class and our 2003 class coming off of 2 undefeated seasons back to back with a robbed NC in the Fiesta Bowl.

If we had bag men like you claim, don't you think we would have gotten in the top 3 classes a lot more down here?

The answer is YES.

We do not play the bag game to buy recruits, as we don't have the type of shadow booster system required, and we definitely wouldn't do it with Richt at the helm.

UGA boosters would have to try to buy recruits without Richt knowing (Sony Michel and a few more I'm sure), and would get very frustrated that Richt was so against it while most of his opponents and rivals were heavy into it.

Pretty obvious that they are now 100% full steam ahead in the bag game now (signing the best class in the history of the star system) that Kirby who learned from the best shadow booster system in college football history (Baga) is running the show in Athens.

Can't believe it didn't send up red flags to the NCAA as it should.

Watch, Tenne$$ee will sign a great class this cycle with a lot of guys nobody was expecting b/c Pruitt like Kirby learned how the best in the business do it, and will bring that knowledge to Knoxville.

Lets hope Bogle isn't part of it.
