Don't know if we have or ever had a shot with Jadon Hasselwood but this is worth reading. He was at Auburn's big recruitment event this weekend (apparently the 2nd visit in two weeks) and said some pretty leading things in his post visit interview.

This is the link to a thread in another site - pretty interesting

How much cash will AU throw at Jadon Haselwood?

It's funny how open SEC players and fans are about the topic but NOTHING ever happens.

My response is not meant to slight you in any way, it's just a general observation on the matter.

it's not like we are talking about organized crime and putting hits on people...who gives a *** in the vast populations of the world if some snot nose kid and his fam get $60k to play a game. I surely couldn't give a flying *** and it doesn't impact my cashflow one bit.

Bottom line, not many people of the billions on this planet give a chit...that's why nothing is done about it...and the fact that the state of Alabama are subject matter experts on the matter...

You care about tax fraud & tax evasion?!? Do you have esquire after your name? Most people commit a form of "tax fraud and/or evasion" each year when it comes to filing taxes...you know, claim an extra several thousand in donations, "work expenses" etc. I am not saying it's correct or moral, but it's definitely not illegal. If I have a thousand bucks per se, and I want to give it to somebody else to encourage them to come out and participate in my pick-up basketball game, there is no crime there. Same thing can be said by these boosters giving money to kids to pick a certain school. It's against the NCAA, which lacks any type of punitive legal authority, in essence making them toothless.

No.. most people don't. But nice job trying to convince yourself it's ok to do. Also, wouldn't post this on a public message board.

First off, I never specifically claimed that I did or did not do it if you look at the message above. Second, I would volunteer to do free taxes for active duty military at the VITA centers on post when I was in the Corps so, I know what I'm talking about when it comes to things folks try to claim. Third, IDGAF bc I know my chit is straight...I've been audited before and passed with flying colors ;)

Lastly, YES, "Most" people do...

Wow what a thread, I wonder how they know how much these kids are getting paid?

Actually most people don't and there is paperwork you need to file to validate those donations.
