LB Keyshawn Greene in the portal

@AllAboutTheU nope. never said that. get with the program. as one of my certified, resident stalkers, you should do better than this and you of all people should know I am 99% on target every time I bring a tidbit to the board.
LOL @ me caring enough to stalk you, Mr. OAN. I have no idea what your percentage is nor do I give a ****. I’m just reading the thread where you say “a bigger better school came calling”.

First, the “past” has only been a little under a year. Hes not 3 recruiting cycles removed from HS. That’s why u do your own research on the situation. Hence, kick the tires. See what’s up.
I get it . . . bring in #s and see what shakes out. That said, I don't know if we can afford to kick the tires at a position where we need to be far, far more precise with our evals than we have been. We need some hits at LB, not a guy that's transferred from 2 schools in 2 years.

Exactly. Greene graduated from high school a year ago, and is about to be on his 3rd college team without ever even being dressed in uniform for a game. I don’t know how anyone can not see that as a huge red flag.

Greene’s past year:

May 2020: graduates high school
June 2020: enrolls at Nebraska
August 2020: Fall camp canceled by BIG10
September 2020: enters transfer portal before Nebraska’s season even starts.
September 2020: commits to FAU
December 2020: signs with FAU
January 2021: enrolls at FAU
March 2021: participates in spring practices
May 2021: enters transfer portal again

He’s obviously talented and may end up being a really good player, but it’s not looking good based on his track record. Can you trust the kid to stick around and put in the work when things aren’t going well, if he struggles at all or faces any adversity? I don’t know his situation or the circumstances that led to the transfers/decisions he’s made, but most coaches aren’t even going to bother with this kid. Too many question marks with him.

Anybody know what his deal was with FAU? The Nebraska transfer I can get. Especially if he dipped while the Big10 was contemplating not having a season. But why go to FAU and leave after one spring?

It has to be one of two things.

One is, the kid is just not emotionally stable, and couldn’t see it through at FAU.

The other, is that he got a good indication of strong interest from several higher profile P5 type programs.

If it’s the former, then he’s a hard pass.

If it’s the latter, it indeed might be a smart move for him.

I don’t know enough about his talent, or his LB projection at the college level, to really comment intelligently whether he’s an actual take or not - based on his potential linebacker play.

But it doesn’t sound like he’s a plug-and-play guy for this season anyway.

probably, he'll end at at UCF with the rest of his bodies from nebraska plus UCF is pushing to get this kind of kids form the portal anyways

He was playing safety at FAU.

He's 6'3 190 & probably can't add on extra weight, I'd pass. He transferred to where all the kids who burned out out of state go, now he's transferring again but to where? Lol

A panhandle kid was never coming here, I don't know why Diaz/Baker/Patke even really tried to recruit him anyway
He probably didn't want to compete with the dogs they have at FAU. Their not the most talented but that defense plays hard and can be physical.
