Coley and Whitfield on the field at WR for FSU would be a bad thing for us. The last time they had that much speed on the field was when Peter Warrick and Lavernaeus Coles were there in 98...the last time they won a title.
The last time we had that much speed on the field at WR was when Sinorice Moss and Roscoe Parrish were here. They both put up pretty good numbers while at UM not just as WR's, but in the return game. Imagine the speed we would have had if we could have played Hester at more WR along with those two...but that's another story (thank you, Coker).
We need to get Whitfield, just for the pure fact that you can't teach his elite speed. If he's Roscoe Parrish or Travis Benjamin and that's it, I'd be happy. If he's Sinorice (or dare I say it, Santana) Moss, I'd be ecstatic. The problem with Kermit no matter where he ends up is that he really needs to work on his route running. He's got pretty good hands already, but all he really knows how to do if you watch his highlights is run the Go route and outrun the coverage. If you can teach a dude like him to run crisp short/intermediate routes with his speed to set up the double-moves to go deep, he becomes a deadly weapon (see Chicago Bears' version of Hester).
