He hit the coaching lottery with Jennings. I presume Jennings stays loyal to SMU and he’s going to make Lashlee tens of millions of dollars. The kid is the real deal and hasn’t come close to his potential.

He made TVD look pretty good too. He may be good at coaching his QBs not sure it’s fair to attribute it to hitting the lottery when it seems clear he’s contributing to their success

Rhett is a modern day HC, it was easy to tell that when he was here. Honestly if not for Mario I was ready to fire manny to keep Lashlee. Lashlee will be a HC at big program in the next couple of years.

Not taking a shot. I agree he’s an excellent coach and teacher. Just saying that Jennings looks Cam-ish. Another two years with him and Rhett is going to get a massive payday. I think Jennings will be a very high draft pick.

Arky is probably his dream job… he’d probably be on OUs short list way behind Heupel once they can Venereals.

If I was him I’d stay at SMU. They’re in a P4 conference, have crazy booster money, and he could turn that place into a problem without having crazy expectations and boosters that want him out. Their coaches always jump ship so they’ll want to keep him round even if he has a few loses. It’s nice to be able to raise a family somewhere and have some job security without sacrificing on the football side of things

Looking at Sonny Dykes at TCU right now, Lashlee is an upgrade over him at SMU.

Though totally different and it was his fault count me in with the group of people who didn’t think Bobby Petrino would ever show his face around Fayetteville much less return in a lesser role so I guess anything could happen.

Idk why Lane would leave Ole Miss for Florida, it makes little sense. It’s not 2010 anymore. NIL has changed the game and at Ole miss they give him a lot of money to spend on NIL. You win 8-9 games a year at Ole miss and it’s a great season. You do that at UF and the fans will want you fired after a few years because they think they should win rings. I mean look what happened with Mullen. He would have to rebuild an entire program in the same league he’s already built a quality Top 20 Program
