A day after reports surfaced that Florida tight ends coach Ja’Juan Seider was leaving the program, Gators coach Dan Mullen announced his replacement, hiring former Tennessee offensive coordinator Larry Scott.

Scott spent the past two seasons with the Vols, as special teams coordinator and tight ends coach in 2016 and as offensive coordinator and tight ends coach last season.

Scott has plenty of history in the state of Florida, though, having coached at USF (2006-12) and Miami (2013-15). He also played at USF as an offensive lineman in the last 1990s.

Hurlie Brown can go to war with me...Hurlie Brown literally was about to throw up....and he was th eonly one in the room that played defensive back. Kevin Beard got out of whack because he was slow so he had an insecurity.No frio was comparing a Miami level player to bums they had at Temple. Completely glad that group is gone...our dc was all in on offering a safety that was a lrgit 4.8-4.7 guy. He's elite at Playing Safety lmao
 
Pretty crazy after watching that that we were 1 game away from the playoffs this year.

We can only hope...even better would be guy who headed our S&C in the late '90's who riled Butch to the point he complained that our S&C was a "huge issue" and that led to him hiring Tommy Moffett.

Can't even remember whom that pre-Moffett guy was. Remember when FSU blew us out 47-0 to nothing? We were the weaklings on the block.

How we got from Moffett to Swasey I never knew.
