It was only a matter of time. Someone was going to come in here and claim that Larry Scott won some games.

Hint: interim coaches don't change the culture in the week following the previous guy's firing. Interim coaches keep the doors open while the administration figures it all out. Larry Scott is nothing more than a mediocre position coach, and that will be proven if someone commits the suicidal task of actually hiring him as their head coach.

Not that Scott deserves the job, but Orgeron was hired at LSU because he had been the interim coach for 7 games. And that was after being a nuclear disaster as HC at Ole Miss.

Because people are stupid. Larry wasn't a legit candidate at Miami, for good reason, but you'd think he pulled a James Coley from the way people on this board talk about him. He's a solid position coach that went off for a bigger payday at a bigger program, and is now getting nibbles from midmajor programs, as he should. I still think he would be best served learning the art of offensive play calling somewhere, but there have been a fair number of position coaches to skip that level before making the top of the organizational chart.
