Larranaga discovered the same problem Golden did

Bosh can call whoever he wants soft. But when Kadji drops a nasty dunk on him next year, I hope Kadji screams "soft as ****" in his face.

Haith can recruit, but he's not a good coach. The canes are playing fluid and fundamental intelligent basketball, something haiths teams generally lack. Coach L is a **** of a coach and its about time someone took the most athletic team in the acc and did something with it. I will bet the bank that Miami makes it further than mizz in the tournament this year.

Haith could recruit, but he can't coach. Same players head to head, I'd beat him 9-10 times. I've only coached high school ball.

I agree. We are watching some beautiful basketball .... great to watch how smooth this team is playing, no matter their record. That is coaching and nothingelse.
 
Plz do urself a favor and not try and defend Haith lol. I give u that he's a pretty good recruiter but he cannot coach as proven by our record this year. Look at what coach L is doing with "Haiths" guys + larkin

By contrast, “Coach L won’t take it once. If we’re not cutting hard enough or fumbling the ball or [whatever], he’ll stop practice and make us do it over. [But] his demeanor is calm and poised.”

We might've had one of the worst press breaks in major college basketball while Haith was here. To add to that, I can't really remember besides D. Scott what players steadily improved from year to year under Haith.

We did not have a single well-designed out of bounds play under Haith. *******. Not. One.

During the first or second game of Coach L's tenure I saw us run a pick and rub basket cut for a wide open dunk and I nearly **** myself.

This team looks nothing like it did under that clown's tenure. One dude coaches and the other dude corches.

if we want to have any sustained success in the acc we'll need a good recruiter before a great coach though. basketball's not a complicated game and the teams who can add the most talent normally win. how do we know haith wouldn't have won with this group? he took a missouri team that wasn't even a preseason top 25 last season to a #2 seed.

wait until both coaches have their own recruits and down the road we can revisit this discussion.

I think it is exactly the opposite. We see the difference a good coach makes v a good recruiter. Miami recruits itself in some ways, but if HS players see the way UM works as a team we should get consistent talent. We are not going to be pulling many McD's AAs, so getting the best players we can with a Larranaga should keep us competitive nationally.
