Two years ago, Chris Bosh came to Miami in the offseason and played a little pickup with the Hurricanes.

Afterward Larranaga asked the Miami Heat player what he thought about his team. After asking he could be frank, Bosh told Larranaga a hard truth -- that his team was soft physically, that they didn't work hard enough and that they simply weren't very good.

A few weeks later, Larranaga had Bosh tell that to the Hurricanes. The coach had been preaching that for weeks, but he knew it would resonate slightly better coming from Bosh than himself.

Bosh came back to work with the Hurricanes this past summer.

"It wasn't the same,'' Larranaga said. "And we knew that.''

Now slowly everyone else is coming around to see what Bosh learned.

I can only imagine that Gamble, RJ and Jekeri probably put him on his *** a few times.

It's amazing that Larranaga wasn't in a major conference before UM (as a head coach). I couldn't be more impressed by a coach than I am by Larranaga. He has put his heart and soul in the program as if he were born a 'Cane.

lets go back to he FGCU game.....if we win this game we would not be where we are today

Coach L from what I heard ripped these guys for 3 hrs after the game and ran them like dogs for days

it was the tipping point for Miami BB..

wasn't haith ripped for winning some somebody else's talent last season? is larranaga not winning with haith's players this year? the herd mentality on these boards would lead you to believe haith couldn't coach or recruit. he obviousy can do both and if we are to have sustained success larranaga will have to recruit the way haith did.

Haith can recruit, but he's not a good coach. The canes are playing fluid and fundamental intelligent basketball, something haiths teams generally lack. Coach L is a **** of a coach and its about time someone took the most athletic team in the acc and did something with it. I will bet the bank that Miami makes it further than mizz in the tournament this year.

He is a joke, don't respond to the troll.

Anyone who defends Haith is already an a$$bag.

if we want to have any sustained success in the acc we'll need a good recruiter before a great coach though. basketball's not a complicated game and the teams who can add the most talent normally win. how do we know haith wouldn't have won with this group? he took a missouri team that wasn't even a preseason top 25 last season to a #2 seed.

wait until both coaches have their own recruits and down the road we can revisit this discussion.

Noone talks about champs 4 years previous. It's night and day the way this team plays compared to years previous. Winners win. What has Haith ever won?
