Lance Guidry post mortem

Worst DC in Canes history?

Either him or the nepo hire that led to Golden losing his job

I honestly have no idea what happened this year. We used to praise Guidry last year for halftime adjustments and patching together the 3-3-5 stack when we had so many injuries. His Marshall defenses also looked pretty sound. No idea why it looked like he forgot how to coach this year and how his area of expertise (safeties) were our weakest unit.

I never root for someone to get fired. I actually like him as a person. That being said, this was epically bad and compounded by the fact that we had a generational offense.

This was a bad season. But tbh I think too many is overrating how bad this season was all the while forgetting those Al Golden years.

Those years were painful.. literally tried to turn us into Penn State
Way worse than golden years. We make the playoffs even with that defense. That whole philosophy was bend but don’t break

Agreed and would love to know what really happened ?
Did he have clandestine meetings with pink?
(No not the singer but Dennis Erickson- that's a reference to franchise and one of his many great nicknames)

Probably not the worst but potentially the DC that cost us the most in canes history
In my opinion that makes him the worst.

Statistically, we have had worse DCs and worse season. However, we also had bad offenses for the most part where even if we had a "good" defense we still would have lost multiple games.

The defense Hiroshima'd what would have been an all-time Canes team. I have never seen a CFB defense look so blatantly lost and confused AT ALL ******* TIMES.

The other tragic part is injury wise we did extremely well this season and were primed to go deep into the playoffs.
