2026 Lamar Brown 5* OT/DT from University Lab in Baton Rouge, LA

“It is really those four schools,” Brown told On3. “It really came down to me deciding to play defensive line in college. A lot of schools wanted to play offensive line, but those four schools were the ones recruiting me the hardest as a defensive lineman.

“LSU is a little above A&M at No. 1. Florida State and Miami are tied after those two at the top.

Aside from the $$$bags, I for the life of me cannot understand the draw to A&M for all these top recruits. They suck every year, haven't had a very promising year in who knows how long, and so many of the transfer out.

What am I missing?

No surprise. Gonna be hard to pry him from the deep south.

They also now have a very defensive-minded HC.

One school in this list is not like the others. Asking again, why is F$U still alive for some of these 5* recruits when Norvell can't recruit HS kids. Have they gone from paying kids to commit to paying kids to put them in the Top 5s?

FSU is in it because of his relationship with Malzahn and Hand. He has visited UCF several times, most while they were there. The relationship has carried over, nothing more nothing no less. Kid is going to LSU, even if LSU goes 6-6 and cans Kelly. This is all moot.

You must not have seen the sweet midnight yell they do. It’s electrifying (in a homoerotic, Broke Back Mountain meets Walker Texas Ranger sort of way).
