Ladarius Gunter

Def played his best game yet, hope it points to him developing into the big, physical corner we've lacked for a while.

How did TH3 look out there didnt hear his name called but saw him on the field

He made a td saving tackle when Devontae Freeman broke for about 30 yards... Gunter played better, I think the Rolle comparisons are a bit overblown... He was a bt lucky to get some of those offensive pi's but I did see improvement in his play... The kid didnt shy away from the lights... He realized the magnitude of this game and came to play... He still has a ways to go but he's progressing... Lets see if he can take the next step against VT...

Gunter played well but I need to see him do it against faster wrs in the up coming games. He was matchedup for the most part last night against Benjamin who's bassically a TE playing Wr speed wise.Gunter hasn't played this well in any other game this season so I have to think Benjamins lack of spped had something to do with it.A cb can be very aggressive against a wr he knows can't run by him.

You could see he was really confident throughout the whole game. Kid played tough, loved the throat tackle he done on the WR. Lol

He had a knack for being there and getting physical. Needs to work on his hands a bit but that's knitpiciking, kinda.

Our secondary should be sick next year along with the LB's.

We just need a DL that's not JAG's or else it doesn't matter so much.

I agree. Really hope we can pull a stud from juco.

So, is Gunter a sophomore or junior? On the official roster he's listed as a redshirt sophomore, but in his official bio, under where it lists him as a sophomore, it says:

begins career as junior after two seasons spent with Fort Scott Community College in Fort Scott, Kansas

Our CBs have not been the problem.

This. Man if we can get some JUCO DTs this year.

So if we get JUCO DT what about Bain, Bostwick and Bryant?

Bain isn't a DT. Bostwick might be a DE as well but likely DT.

I'm actually liking the idea of Bostwick as an end in this scheme.

I agree got a good first step and he has the size to come in right away and not get pushed around

Benjamin is much faster than most TEs

Noticed we lined Robinson up at DE last night. He actually ran a play down from the backside. We looked pretty big up front with him on one edge and Chick on the other.

Beside the whiff in the backfield on Freeman, Gunter balled out last night!

I stand corrected....Prior through a good block on Gunter! No whiff
