Kyron Drones as a potential option (not in portal)

Why is it that our backup QB's look like they've never seen a football before but when you watch other teams their backups come in and don't miss a beat???

You haven't watched the rest of the ACC play in these bowl games. Cause their backup QBs have been awful except the Louisville kid who was alright

Curious what you and others have heard about him in practice? Putting aside some of the mental stuff and looking lost, his physical tools look awful—noodle arm, very slow release, slow as molasses with his movements in the pocket, etc. Wouldn’t that be obvious even in practice?
All I can say is people thought he looked good. Staff, visitors, and former players. ****, the current players love Emory. What happened in the bowl game? I wish I can give you an answer.

Yeah. Like I said he's emotional so there's that. Kid was essentially willing to sabotage himself over us putting effort into mateer. **** him and his pops. Y'all question Mario how you want. But I'm gonna let you know, point blank period he don't play bout this U.
Can you share what him & dad wanted, aside from guaranteed starter status and money?

Emotional as in entitled brat?

I know there are a lot of those that go to Columbus.

He was blindsided by that fearsome Iowa State defense that held us to 31 points in the first half (after we fumbled our opening play).

Well the good news is if we want to play ball control and defense and we are worried about picking between offensive production and winning, we won’t have to make that choice. Because we are going to lose. This isn’t 1998 anymore. We aren’t Michigan. Teams that try to do that without top end, elite talent across the board get smoked. We don’t recruit well enough for it. Sorry to say it won’t lead us anywhere new

Doesn't seem like there is any indication that this guy has any interest in hitting the portal or that Miami is even interested in him...

Yeah I don’t think this is even a possibility. We are really fkn clueless as to what to do it seems.
Hopefully that's just the fans that are clueless and the staff being paid millions has a master plan lol...we've had some people in the know tell us to let it play out so let's see if they are just blowing smoke

That might be why the coaches wanted to give him a half of football against a P4 team. He very well looked good and seemed to be improved in practice against our horrible defense but does that translate to actual games. The bowl game gave them a chance to see and based on the results it did not and likely confirmed they need to find a portal QB. Unfortunately the portal part has not happened yet. The question to me is do they have a true competition if it really ends up being just Nickel, Judd and Emory in the spring. If it is I wouldn't be shocked if Nickel wins that but hopefully we do not need to worrry about it and we get someone to bridge to Nickel.

Those Kendall Boys and Girls Club kids and parents are a lil soft, you'll have to forgive them. Built into them at a young age.

I'm not disagreeing with end results in either of those rooms. However to say incompetence makes me think we made no efforts to improve in those areas. That just isn't accurate. We can't force people to stick to their commitments. In this day and age of recruiting as you know kids have a lot of options. It makes it tricky to close the deal in certain instances when you've spent the majority of the season on two or three kids knowing the entire country is trying to get those same two or three kids and no matter what they've been telling you throughout the season other teams are also going to adapt how they approach those kids. Just think, whether it's Julian sayin, whether it's Dylan rayola, whether it's rashada, whether it's air noland, Dontae Moore or numerous other kids, we've put tons of resources into bringing in high end quarterbacks. Results being all that matters, we didn't sign any of those quarterbacks clearly. But to say incompetence tells me we're not shooting our shots. On the defensive side of the ball we all know all the crazy **** that's went on to keep us away from several different players on that side.

The one person I'd agree incompetence would be an accurate word, would be Dennis Smith and his affinity to sabotage himself and us through his actions.
I want that guy off our sidelines as well. He looks like an organ grinder monkey out there next to Mario
