Kris Bogle

I've seen severe bone bruises but its a 21 year old prime athlete with access to a first class rehab facility and trainers. In college we got a new turf field installed my senior year and they used the incorrect padding under the turf over the draining system and it wasn't thick enough and wasn't supposed to be playable according to code/ Needless to say you hit a bone on the ground or got tackled and it hurt like hitting concrete because it literally was. A guy shattered his patella in the first quarter on it.

Rarely saw a bone bruise keep you out 5-6 weeks even from that circumstance.
Unfortunately, your anecdotal evidence is unpersuasive. I don’t care if he’s 21 or 41, deep bone bruises can be really nasty.

And we have a ton of depth and talent at WR. There was no need to rush him back to play a bunch of HS teams.

Shaq also played all last season with a horribly separated AC joint. Couldn’t even sleep on that side and had to get strapped into a harness to play. Shaq has the pain tolerance of a pit bull.
I heard that Thursday and felt horrible I mean no wonder he wore down. Kids a DOG but not a machine

Did he really? When did he injure himself last year? I don't doubt, but i didn't hear about it. AC joints are very painful and to play LB with that would be some real TOUGH GUY ISH!!!!

Thank you all for that info. I never knew that. I've had a grade 3 AC sprain and it's easily one of the more painful injuries that doesn't involve tearing a muscle or surgery. Add that in with the position he plays and man i'm just in awe right now. Warrior. I hope he plays this week, but i see if as a lot of you do as a high ankle sprain and those things are just as bad as a fractured leg sometimes

A “bone bruise” can be debilitating. I represented a dude with a bone bruise in his ankle, and he could barely walk for a year. I currently have a bone bruise on my knee that has been sore to the touch for almost 6 weeks now. People hear “bruise” and they think it’s nothing. But they don’t know.

I have had a couple bone bruises. Im no world class athlete but the pain and swelling can last a long time.
