Unfortunately, your anecdotal evidence is unpersuasive. I don’t care if he’s 21 or 41, deep bone bruises can be really nasty.I've seen severe bone bruises but its a 21 year old prime athlete with access to a first class rehab facility and trainers. In college we got a new turf field installed my senior year and they used the incorrect padding under the turf over the draining system and it wasn't thick enough and wasn't supposed to be playable according to code/ Needless to say you hit a bone on the ground or got tackled and it hurt like hitting concrete because it literally was. A guy shattered his patella in the first quarter on it.
Rarely saw a bone bruise keep you out 5-6 weeks even from that circumstance.
And we have a ton of depth and talent at WR. There was no need to rush him back to play a bunch of HS teams.
