Kool was never happy being passed over for the Mizzou DC gig for Odom. When Odom became the head coach that was it for Kool at Mizzou. He had toyed with taking a job at Illinois before last season as well.

Guy is a beast at developing talent but was never known for his recruiting acumen while at Mizzou. In fact at one point it was said he hated it.
