Know Your Enemy (FSU depth chart)

They are better than us at QB, DT, LBer, and Safety.

And this is why we lose.

We are better than them at RB, WR, and about even at CB and Oline. Snickers made the Oline look worse than it was last year

Lane and Rudolph will start over Haggins and Green soon at WR.

Cook will be spelling Williams soon at RB.

IMO.

QB: FSU, Could be us after Winston leaves.
RB: Miami
WR: Miami
OL: FSU. Another year or two, their more talented on the OL.
DL: FSU. Could tie with them a year from now pending development.
LB: Miami
DB: FSU for now, but could be tie or Miami pending seasons progress.
Kicking Game: FSU
Return Game: Tie

LB is FSU and it realy isnt close. The problem with these comparisons is that while I agree that we are better at RB and WR then them, they arent far behind. Where as they are way better than us at the positions they already have an advantage on us outside maybe DB.

lol, the problem with these comparisons is that our rbs aren't going up against their rbs. our wrs don't play against their wrs. it's our rb vs their lbers. they can have less talented rbs but if our lbers suck, they will do well. these comparisons are stupid.

Not if you do the comparison the exact way you did...

My friend they don't have much experience at LBer too and we have Denzel. I'm still picking us at LBer.

Their CBs and Oline are so much better than ours it is literally laughable. They're both top 1-3 groups in the entire country. I mean really.

If golden allows Winston to sit back and pick us apart again then it will be another long game. Hopefully he watched auburn get after Winston and learned that that is the best way to deal with a potent offense.

As for real head to head match ups.

Their QB vs our DB = Right now FSU, maybe tie pending how good our secondary is this year.

Their RB vs our LB = Tie for now, could go either way pending development on both teams.

Their WR vs our DB = Miami

Their OL vs Our DL = FSU

Their DL vs our OL = FSU

Their LB vs our RB = Miami

Their DB vs our WR = Tie

What about the coaching match ups?

I think you guys are severely, severely over hyping our DB's, a group that hasn't proven anything at all yet. Howard is proven and is a **** of a player, but outside of that there is nothing but the hope that surely they can't be as bad as the last guys.

You dont want to blitz winston he has some crazy stat vs the blitz make him beat u in the pocket he gets impatient...same gameplan as last year is good just gotta stop the run. And they will run more this year no doubt

We have maybe like 3-5 players who would start for them.

Duke
Stacey
Perryman
Howard
Flowers?

That's all I got.
FSU WR situation not pretty. Dorsett, Waters, Lewis or Scott could start for them. Even Berrios.

FSU gonna end up starting Lane and Rudolph soon. Their talented but must remember, they are freshman.

Could see McCord or Muhammad as starters as pass rushers for them. Chick maybe.

Kirby, and Grace have just as much experience as the two new linebackers their putting in the lineup.

Healthy Bush could start for them. Carter and Dallas is a wait and see.

This. We **** the bed on offense, but defense stepped up first half until they got gassed and they pulled away. At one point Manuel was rattled after his 2nd pick and was yelling at the coach or his WR on the sideline after.

AQM had 2 shots early in the game on Winston to stop drives and whiffed both...think he finishes those this year.

That said FSU is clearly ahead of us in talent and especially depth...it's closing though IMO

Perryman is the best of any LB both teams return, no doubt, but after that they are way way better. Terrance Smith is a veteran and not exactly chopped liver. After that, they have 4 guys that physically are bona fide studs in Thomas, Eligwe, Levenberry and Northrup. We have Kirby and an undersized Grace, and then a bunch scrubs sans the true freshmen.
