King officially named UM starting QB; Diaz comments

Competition is never fake between the players. I do agree it makes sense to give 1 QB the 1st team reps, since we didn't have much of a Spring, but what do you do about the backups? How do you decide the pecking order of the backups is and who is running the scout team offense, etc?

I think it says that not every QB on our roster is a Davey O’Brien watchlist player.

There’s a reason we wanted him so badly, and there’s a reason he chose us among all the schools of interest.

Best opportunity to shine. The man made a business decision. He knows what he wants. I expect that attitude rubs off on some of the other players.
 
Lets hope he gets a chance to play at all as all these teams that aren't in a "bubble" have little shot of getting through a year, if its starts at all.

Great move. With all that’s going on, no need waste time with a QB1 “competition”.

The universities have so much invested in the football programs, and so much of their revenue is derived from football. We will have college football in some form.

They barely have any protocol in place, every team is doing their own thing with different resources available. Gonna be hard to keep 100+ teams with over 100 personnel in check with no outbreaks. There plan is to hope this goes away and public outcry dies down, that is not a good plan. Hope you are right tho

yes cause baseball has nothing invested. Just wait till a few "student atheletes", who are younger, start testing positive as they start season. It will blow up. In a contact sports no less. There will be massive outbreaks and it will grind to a stop.

Lets just say we don't have a season. Is there a way everyone can just take a redo on the year meaning King can be our starter in 2021? These kids shouldn't have to lose their chance to play.
