I completely understand. If people don't oppose him or stand up to him, he loves them.

He attacks people who disagree with him or stand up to him.

There is no middle ground with him.

I guess I just have different experiences with him - pre-mod as well. I’ve messaged with him a good deal and like him a lot and find him to be someone who tries to help others in real life from what I gather. The board routines of a number of my friends here don’t phase me.

Not sure about that. People disagree on some things and agree on other things.

For instance, if Empirical ever posted about, say, football, he might find some areas of agreement with others. I know a lot of people who I debate with, though we enjoy discussions on Gaytor Tears. I don't attack people on Gaytor Tears just because I disagree with them on some different thread.

The perception of our differences does not always match reality. Some just take it too far. Nobody forced NYSOM to create a fraudulent ***-outing of another poster.
