Only two fixes I see: 1) wild west; or 2) action by a mod is applied to all parties involved.

I would offer choosing #1 or #2 would allow you to reopen the COVID thread.

The hand is always uneven on message boards. You're a pretty good poster, which is why your ignored user count doesn't match your punishment history. Post 2 is full of users who made the wrong post in their first few hundred threads.

Fun fact, moderators can ban users under 500 posts but must use the warning system to ban users with more.
