Go back to the VTech game and the fake FG instead of taking points. It may have cost them the game. Last night, after 2nd FG, if stuff goes off the rails, then another FG wins you the game possibly. I thought right call to take the easy points.

In the Dolphins game, a safety ended up being the difference. Don’t give away free points. FG was the right call to end the half, especially with FSU getting the ball to start the half. Definitely don’t want to end up getting stopped on 4th down, they go into halftime feeling good, and they come out fired up to start the 2nd half. FG took a little wind out of their sails. I have to say Cristobal has been outstanding in clock management. Going for two against Cal in the 3rd quarter caught everyone by surprise but it was the difference between being 8-0 or 7-1 right now.

That FSU DL and secondary is the best we've seen all season
They don't have the depth and the offense is so poor, the defense barely has a chance to make a real difference.
Mario managed that game perfectly.

This weekend we should see some different looks. Duke defense is probably better from the LBs back, and they don't have the speed that FSU has.

I expect to still see a balanced attack on offense, but I also think Cam will have a better game.

Duke offense is almost as anemic as FSU, but with the freshman I actually FSU might be better.

Ref clock time! In that drive, with under 2 minutes in the half, FSU was penalized for having 12 on the field. 7 seconds ran off the clock and the Refs didn't put those 7 seconds back on the clock. Didn't the NCAA just issue a mid-season "Ohio State" rule that the defense can not gain an advantage by illegal substitution with under 2 to go in the half or at the end of the game?

We haven’t proven we’re good enough to make winning the game secondary to style points. Against this opponent, putting 3 up was a death sentence. I loved all the kick decisions. We have to win every game this regular season. I’m fine winning ugly

People don't get analytics and that's fine. But to go against a FG would've been bananas. It's a two-possession game anyway, if we're up three, thats a different story.
