I doubt any of the lbs coming in see major snaps. Mccloud should start at mlb if u go watch his highschool film he is made for it. And then u have joyner, brooks, huff for the other spot along with jennings and steed coming off injury. At the most I could see 1 guy playing snaps but he would have blow the roof off during strength and conditioning and take it into offseason practice

Yes - that said, Paul was protected by a big Dline at Utah and ran free. The concern with our system is we usually only have 2 LBs on the field at any one time. If you're not fast enough to go sideline to sideline, we struggle. Shaq and Pinck showed that at times in their careers.....and as great as Perryman was at UM, he was exposed at times in coverage.

I'm a little torn on Flagg bc he does have some real good tape - but it's highlight tape. I'd like to see full game tapes to see how his speed and pursuit looks on the other plays because honestly, that 4.92 does worry me a bit.

I agree with everything you said. I just think it's good practice to have a LB like him in the room regardless if he projects as starter "athletically"

I'd rather have a true battle tested LB like him than a bunch of converted DE's or rush specialist like Joyner, Wilder, Mike Smith etc.
