When he actually suits up and does something on the field then I'll be interested in what he has to say. For now he needs to shut the **** up.

I don't care how obvious it may be, you absolutely don't say that. It's just not something you do.

Let's put it this way, would Duke Johnson EVER say something like that? No.

this is the thing with cameras/reality TVs. the kid didn't realize what he was saying was being recorded.

Everyone forgot the part where he said we have some big-*** linemen and fast receivers. Remember--the QB play he saw in the spring was comprised of Williams/Dewey/Crow. If he saw bad QB play, he wasn't dogging Morris out, and he's the starter. If he was talking stuff about Morris as the starter, then I'd think he was too arrogant for his own good.

This dude is also from a football family--he knows what good QB play is supposed to look like, even if he is only 17-18 years old.

Plus one! No big deal here. Everyone was saying the same things, why some of these morons make a big deal about it, is beyond me.

Barry Jackson reporting is on par with the susan woman at the herald. they are the reason print media is suffering! Kid is the coaches child, he knows what is appropriate to say, and that is not! don't believe it!

And I'll add, I don't mind the little man's comments. I hope he fires Morris up - and Williams, for that matter, because that's who he was talking about. Williams hasn't made any negative noise about being the back up. Imagine if that kid Tate Forcier was the back up right now. I think Morris and Williams both can handle that kind of talk. Unless this team wins 8+ games, there will be a healthy competition next year.

That was more call-it-like-you-see-it than "I'm walking in there and getting the job".

If he said it after seeing our back ups play, then it's not so bad.. if Morris was in and he said it.. it'd be a bit different.

Just watched it.. not as bad as the quote makes it seem.. his brother asked him about the players,, he said he liked the line the wr's and mike james... then his brother asked about the qb play and he said it was "pretty bad" just like at auburn.

He's a very grounded kid, he'll be fine. Being critical of him is stupid, although I'm sure he regrets it.

He didn't sound like it was meant as *******-ish as y'all are making it. Jesus.

Around the 58 minute mark of the documentary he talks about Miami. Lots of good compliments.

You people are idiots. He said that in a personal conversation to his own brother not in some media interview or to a reporter. And besides...it's the ******* truth.

This is blown way out proportion. When talking with is brother about the differences between auburn and miami based on what he had seen on his recruiting trips, His brother asked him what he thought about the QB's at Miami and he answered not very good. Pretty similar to auburn."

He also said the linemen were huge and the running backs were studs.

Nothing to see here

Wow, people being ridiculous here. Kid made a statement to his brother that was recorded, wasnt like he made a public statement. It also was likely very accurate, as he never really saw Morris, just Williams and a bunch of raw freshmen. HE also had a tone of good things to say about our program.

As for the stadium seating stuff...that's nothing new, and anyone who doesnt think that ALL kids think about that is being a fool. These kids are 17 years old, and watch football every week. A QB is supposed to have swagger and want to be a star. What do you want the kid to say, Im very pleased that there are so few fans in the stands?

This is much ado about nothing. Im excited that a highly rated QB still wants to come here. We havent exactly had the kind of record the last 6-7 years that have 4 star Blue Chip QB prospects chomping at the bit to come here.
