Olsen – who is coached by his father, Wayne Hills head coach Chris Olsen, and is out indefinitely with a fractured bone in his right foot - tells his family, before committing here, that he loves the UM staff, weather, offense and school – “everything [except] playing in front of anybody [smaller crowds].”
S. Florida Canes...remember that quote above when you don't "feel like" going to Sun Life, and use the $30 parking as an excuse not to go. You might save $30 for parking and $10 for a ticket, but guys like Kevin Olsen recognize you in the stands disguised as one of the many empty seats that he sees.
Now, in Olsen's case it doesn't keep him from coming to Miami...but what about those kids who want to play in front of big crowds who could be big-time players for us? THAT is why some of these kids balling out elsewhere have jumped ship to SEC schools or F$U or Clemson. Those folks go to games rain or shine (both weather-wise and as a metaphor for the team's performance), and they go in great numbers to support their team...well because (novel idea) they're fans of the team and they want to support the kids and the program.
So...quit complaining and show up en-masse to the NCSU game this weekend. Support these kids who played their tails off in Atlanta yesterday, and go cheer for them just as hard as they're playing for the program and for you, the fans. If you're one of these dolts who doesn't think that the players don't care about the fans, just go watch some of the vids of who the kids were celebrating in the stands with after that OT win...jumping up in the stands like they just scored for the Packers in Lambeau. They were reveling with the fans, and happy to do so w/smiles from ear to ear. If they care that much about you...$30 for parking and $10 for a ticket isn't too much to ask in return for your presence to stand behind them and cheer them on.
