This isn't groundbreaking analysis, but expect Kevin Austin to be the next blue-chip receiver prospect out of South Florida. He's still raw and doesn't face the best competition at North Broward Prep, but his combination of size, athletic ability and acceleration is rare.

Miami has offered and is on him hard. Here are his mid-season junior HLs:

I got a chance to see him live when he played against my high school in a preseason game (Pine Crest School). He had a couple TDs against us but man he should transfer. My school doesn't have a football player Even close to his caliber, so I was expecting him to GO OFF. He did well with what he could but his team is hindering him. My friend who plays corner was talking to him all game saying why don't you just transfer man. Hopefully get to see him around and against better competition when 7 on 7 season rolls around.

Who would you like us to come out of 2018 with at WR, DMoney?

Still too early. Austin, the Southridge duo (Pope and Wiggins) and Xavier Williams from Chaminade will get plenty of attention.

I was impressed by TuTu Atwell (Northwestern QB) against Booker T. He has great feet and was making athletic defenders miss badly. Could see him as an interesting slot receiver in college.

Love this kid, tweeted about him early in the season. Some Broward people view him as the next Judy type

What about Elijah Moore and Jacob Copeland?

I want to see us do a better job of mining those hidden gems. Without local access we should be able to do that better than other teams. By getting on them early we can secure commitments

He was at Western with Elijah Moore until the administration upset his mom. Something about the way they handled his schooling/scheduling. No surprise. Their administration is a joke.

They would've been nasty on offense this year. Harrison Story, Kevin Austin, Elijah Moore and Keshaun Clark...who's currently South FLA's leading rusher. SMH

Kevin's a really good kid too.

I'm fine with any 4 of:

Mark Pope
Jacob Copeland
Brian Hightower
Elijah Moore
Xavier Williams
Daquris Wiggins
Justin Watkins
Jermaine Eskridge
Terrell Perriman

But this is based on their sophomore years/JR Summer circuits.

Lol we were just talking about him today. I wish he would transfer to STA.

Any combination of the 4 out of Austin, Copeland, Elijah, Finnie, Pope, Wiggins & Xavier would be ideal.

I don't expect Thompson from Armwood to come here from what I've heard.

Neither Watkins from Vanguard especially after what I was told Saturday, when I talked to my guy who gives me the details on that area.

Nope on Eskridge. He's a flex.

Perriman could be a late riser. He was big time in little league. Sharing a lot of touches at Central.

I told DMoney today that I would prefer to wait until around the summer to see how this will all shake out. I would wait on taking anyone at the moment. Some late bloomers coming out like Lamont Finnie now. Would reevaluate then.

Austin told me that he was still going to try to make the FSU game. He was going originally but they rescheduled his game for Saturday at 6.

Transfer to STA for what? So he can catch 10 balls?

How 'bout he go back to his home school instead, play 8A football and catch 50+ balls?

That kid from Armwood is a beast. Played against him in a 7-on-7 tournament during the summer. He made our DB's look like little children.

That's what I was worried about with Elijah when he transferred. Harriot is favoring some of his former USchool kids at the position and it has taken snaps from Elijah that he deserves.

I expect Xavier to be at STA next year. STA main problem is that Jake Allen just can't distribute the ball well at all. They got a kid waiting in the wings. Curt Casteel 2019 QB, he will be a good one. I expect that problem to be fixed there next season.

Xavier and Elijah will get the touches that they should get. The problem is not STA really at this point, it's the QB.

If they get James Cook... Yes I said it. James Cook. That offense will be really potent next year.
