Kenny McIntosh Talks Miami And Oklahoma

View as article
Kenny will be able to play because of the new redshirt rules. So he'll get his four games but it's going to be an uphill battle for him to earn playing time beyond that. Both him and Crowley in the same boat. Especially if Homer stays then they probably wont play at all their first year outside of special teams.

Kenny has an easier path to playing early as a MLB but I like him on offense as well. But if early playing time is so important to him and Crowley, like they've alluded, then I doubt they wind up in this class.

If Homer leaves, I could see one of them maybe beating out someone for the 3rd spot next year but very unlikely.

It's like the good ole days...studs don't play outside of special teams until their 3rd year on the team. McGahee didn't start (get tons of snaps) until senior year. Look at Bama, you have 4-5 star studs just sitting and waiting their turns.

That's true but in today's world, kids will only do this if the team is winning, for the most part.

I can guarantee you without question the parents would LIKE to be able to go to the games easily. That is literally all I'm saying.

Also, you choose a college, not a pro team.
Again, it’s overrated . I agree parents would LIKE to be able to go to every game, what parent wouldn’t . But I can guarantee that is low on the totem pole for reasons why kids would stay home. Throw in the fact that half of our games are away games anyways and yea, the whole parent being able to see you play in person every game thing is overblown

If parents felt that strongly about it, why would they even let their kid be recruited by an out of state school ?

Get your point. Willis redshirted his freshmen year. As I recall because he came out of Central recovering from a knee injury. He got carries behind Clinton. Started as our fullback in the Rose Bowl when Najeh got hurt. Declared after his redshirt sophomore year.

They both run 4.8 lol talking about package deal a safety an running back that slow sounds like a golden era video i saw on YouTube. I like Mac at middle LB!

That would be a slow package , pony express kind of slow

Not getting Kenny would surprise me to be honest.

I think we are probably a hair behind right now, however after the season kicks off he's going to realize he wants to play at home for Miami.
I know he values education a lot which will absolutely help us in the end. My opinion is that once he realizes how much value playing at home coupled with the education aspect, he's going to have a hard time turning us down.

So Oklahoma is stealing not one but two players that run a 4.8 forty from us... How will we recover?

4.8 or not I do want to land Macintosh, local kid and family. But good RBs are somewhat abundant in South Florida. I do hope he comes home to us.

Th other son doesn’t go to ND anymore

I know Juco...Im stating this to say ...they dont have an issue with their kids going distance for school
You're totally right. What in the world was I thinking? A parent would never really care if their son plays right down the street or a full weekend commitment to getting there and coming back. Because everyone on earth is happy to take more time to do the exact same thing. And hey... what parent wants to see their child more often than not?

Its not fully the parents choice. Thery're other son chose ND...This isnt their first rodeo. I'm just telling you distance isnt a factor in this one. If it was such a big deal he would have FAU or other florida schools on the list...due to proximity yunno...maybe a little Broward College or just stay @ USCHOOL and Nova Southeastern?.

Because the recruits are making adult decisions that the parents have no legal say over?

Y'all are taking this WAY too seriously, and still not using your brains. I literally said absolutely nothing about it being a factor FOR THE PLAYER.

Please direct me to where I said anywhere that it was the parent's choice where the player goes, and further elaborate on your personal relationship with the McIntosh family.
