Kenmore gamble

Gamble ain't even a real TE, and we clearly dropped him that is why he's so sour. Not missing out on anything, he's good but not great.

Kid is clearly good enough to be a productive d1 tight end and you can see his frame in the recent write up that he has the frame to bulk up. The notion of 'great' is what I meant by overanalyzing. You're only focusing on his being upset with the questionable decision by this staff.

He's like maybe 6'3" if that, and like I said he'll be good not great. How's that over analyzing? It means he'll be somewhat productive but nowhere near a top TE in the country. Plus he's more of a flex receiver which isn't what we need at the moment, we need big bodied blocking capable. tight ends.

Also are not the two TE we signed this year more along the lines of what Gamble would bring to the team, so the need this year is not another TE like the ones we signed this year but a more traditional TE

Gamble is a stud. Bigger and faster than I thought. He will be a monster with a college strength program.

he would be redundant. We signed Michael Irvin Jr in the last class to play the role of what Gamble would be here. No need to have two of those guys..we needed an inline blocker type.

No, no he won't. After this recruiting cycle we will never hear his name again unless its a blurb about him transferring or something.

He's too heavy and slow to play WR, and he's not tall enough or physical enough to be a true TE. He's a tweener, and not in a good way.

If you're a tweener, you had better be a world-class athlete like Njoku. Gamble is not Njoku, no matter how much people try to play him up. That whole Southridge team is ridiculously overrated as it is. I'd be fine with taking zero players from there and letting them all go to their dream school UF.

He's been going up against top DBs all off-season and getting open easily.

I'm not saying he's not a very good high school player, he clearly is.

My point is that, because of his body type, he's a tweener at the next level. If you're a tweener, you had better be an incredible athlete like Njoku, or go to a school that utilizes players with that kind of skill set.

I think Gamble would do pretty well in a Big 12 spread offense where you need WR's of all types. With a Richt pro-style attack, I don't see where he fits. Same goes for the offense McElwain (at least plans to) run at UF
