Ken Dorsey's trajectory

Frankly, Coley's offense was way too horizontal for my liking. Between the stretch plays, passes to the flats and all of the WR screens, I thought this offense was doing too much side to side. Fortunately, guys like Stacy Coley made up for the playcalling at times, but the strength of this offense was the vertical passing game with insanely fast receivers and a QB with a cannon. He didn't play to those strengths.

I'd rather see Dorsey here as the OC running Chud's pro style attack instead of this Jimbo offense.

I think people underestimate Coley. Dude puts work in. He studies and works hard on technique with his qbs. Morris looked pretty **** good pre-injury; and last week, he looked pretty **** good in his first "healthy" game since the injury.

Morris looked like **** pre injury. Was awful against FAU, very bad for almost the entirety of the UF game except the big plays. Golden has said every week since like UNC that this is "the week where he is finally feeling better"

Morris played like **** this year and was servicable to spectacular most of last year, so it does raise certain questions. Personally, I got few qualms with Coley and think with another year under his belt, getting his system in, getting more used to our players, he will be the least of our problems.

Where you get Coley is going to vacate his spot after next season? You don't think he'll stick and watch Olsen, kayaa & Gibson(hopefully) develop?

He's a climber. I don't know if it'll be next season or the following, but he's here with a purpose. If he does well, I can see him making the jump relatively quickly (~3 seasons). Fair enough for all involved.

My friend who is an FSU booster and knows Coley told me when Coley agreed to come aboard that he expected that we'd have two years out of Coley, who definitely will be looking to climb. I don't know if that's accurate or not, but my sense is that my friend had a reason for what he was saying and it was not just an impression.

I wish we had a technical guy, someone like Coach Palermo. What he did with the DL in 06 was nothing short of amazing.

People Don't Realize but Duke's DL coach is none other than RICK PETRI...... We had him 2x... and still let him walk.... Was a GREAT Teacher of the position....

Didn't need him to Recruit..just coach them up..

Coley could be the new HC at FIU in 2015. I would be nice to get a new DC/DL coach combo and free up a staff position for Dorsey as QB/OCC under Coley.

From the little I've heard about Coley from those who worked with him, I don't think he's looking for an FIU-like gig. I think he intended to come here and be an OC for 4 years; build a dynamic offensive juggernaut; and hope to get a top 30 HC gig (or take over if Golden were to leave).

That seems like what I thought he would do as well.

I'm not high on Coley as OC , he is a good recruiter but ironically our offense looked just a touch worse than FSU's offense from last year . FSU's offense this year is miles ahead of last year and it isn't just because of the rapist .

It's times like these where I wonder if our fans actually watch the games.

We blew it not finding an entry level spot where Dorsey could help groom QBs. He's on a solid NFL track now and only see him returning to the U as HC.

I agree with Lu and others that Coley is a climber but I dont think he'll be able to put together enough of a resume within the next year or two to be able to garner much attention for a better gig. He's young and has much to learn.

That's true. But, so was the overrated Mr. Fisch.

Considering the way fans treated Dorsey when he was here, I would be surprised if he wanted to return.

He loves Miami...I had a chance to speak with him when he was in Sarasota coaching HS.....he wants to coach, loves Miami loves what he accomplished here,,,

But the NFL pays better and all Miami Qbs have been treated like **** one time or another....

I can already envision it......a play call doesn't work, the fans start chanting "Brock", "Brock", "Brock".
