I knew Manny was trash at evals. But when he brought in Johnson and Troutman as his LBs, I was floored. The bad old days.

I think Manny's problem with LBs wasn't as much how big and fast they were, but more guys that just didn't have the skills to play LB. Trying to convert DE's that have never played in space to LB usually doesn't work as they don't have the read/react skills a LB must have. No matter how fast a kid is, if he can't diagnose the play in a split second, he's going to be lost.
