Seems like kids who play these games, even ones who choose Miami, more often than not, don't pan out.
Patrick Peterson/Johnson is one of the few I can remember who did work out
Absolutely. All these kids disappear, or at best, become very average ballplayers: Colon, Patchan, Lamont Green, Antone Smith, John Capel, as far back as Keith Carter.
We were never going to get Marvin Jones, he was going to go where his brother went. Green was very ordinary for somebody who was so good he was all Dade 1st team as a soph. Another one, Sterling Palmer, was kind of ordinary. Capel, for all his world class Olympic speed, had a slower 40 time at the combine than some of our kids, such as DVD. What did he ever do in football?
Didn't FSU recruit a ton of DLs the last couple of years, including Eddie Goldman? Where's Bryant more likely to see early playing time?
