Someone please remind me why his brother cant just go to FIU?

The question is does FIU even want his brother?

IMO he's a CANE on National Signing Day

We need as many big LBers as we can get. Hope you're right. Would make this the best LB class in the nation hands down

We very well can have the best RB class (if one of the 3 remaining RBs we are after commit) + the best LB class + the best CB class if Howard and Bush come through

Make it happen Al

Or a success as both their sons have a full paid ride thru college

This. If KB is a true baller he'll make the league no matter where he goes. Mom has to look out for both kids and to me that is to be commended and not ridiculed. It's her kids and she should be allowed to give advice,or even steer the boys in a direction she thinks is best for both.

Maybe it is a life long dream for the brothers to attend college together and enjoy all the perks that college life has to offer. None of us know. But to allude to parenting failure because the KB might not come here is an incredible display of arrogance IMO.

Strong points, guys. Hadn't really thought of it from that angle to be honest. But if Keith's brother just isn't good enough for FIU or some other small school, can't they see how easily it's going to be for a school to sign him then get rid of him next year, leaving Keith with a decision of whether he has to transfer and sit out a year or stay with the school that used his brother? Tough decision ofr the family to make.

I still maintain Mario should do us a solid and offer Lamar a scholarship. The boys have never said they want to play together, they're just looking for a scholarship for Atkins. They could both stay at home and go to college that way.

As long as Kirby and Northrup are on board... Brown is just icing on the cake to be honest... I think the first two LB are most important to this class than the latter. As for Brown being a So. Florida recruit..its about recruiting the IMPACT So. florida recruits in which DUKE and Tracy fall into that category. So far we got 1 of the 2...

I'm not sure the financial situation of the Brown's, but right now, they have a chance for both to their sons to attend a post-secondary institution free of charge! There's nothing wrong with that. Brown appears to understand the situation and is willing to put his dream of attending UM aside to help his family. With all the kids/coaches/mentors surrounding kids today with their hands out, this is a mature thing to do. As a family, they are making the right decision.

Plus, from interviews, it appears that if he brother was to ever land a full-ride scholarship on his own, Brown would be in Coral Gables.
