Keeping up with joneses.?

here are my picks... Ohio St, ND, UF, I would love to add Bama... These would be big money games... Don't the Bama games until 2014 and beyond... we will be ready then... and when we beat them recruits will flock to our footsteps...

USF series is canceled after next season. It won't be renewed. I think we're playing UCF next couple years or something.

USF series is not relevant to the nation or to the state Florida. But you are right about UF, from 88 and till the end of time they will always duck us.

FAMU & BETHUNE is more important

You can't really manufacture a rivalry. They just happen. Our biggest rivals are FSU, UF, Notre Dame, and Vag Tech. We have a little rivalry with Ohio State as well.

What's everyone opinion on developing consist rivalry with team from different conference. Before Miami was in ACC we always had FSU as our non conference rival. But, now that were in ACC we don't have anything remotely close to that. Most of the teams in the ACC seem to a have bitter rivals in other conferences, so why do we? By developing a non conference rivalry would enhance the school brand and worth. Also, other school in ACC should do the same. Ones that don't have consist rivals with teams from other conferences.

I...really...don't understand. FSU was our chief (no pun intended) rival, that we played on a regular basis, before we joined the ACC. They still are our chief (**** you, i meant it) rival now that we're in the ACC. So what?

Florida only wants to play twice a decade. ND only wants to play when they can get 2 home games for our 1. Ohio State, Texas, insert name of recognizable program here , won't play us on a yearly basis. If our overlong series with USF has shown anything, it's that you can't manufacture a rivalry.

If you look at the way our schedule shapes up, we tend to have one 'major' OOC opponent scheduled, per year, into the future. Florida, then Nebraska, then Notre Dame, then Rutgers (yeah, I know, whoopty doo), then Meatchicken State.
