KC - Notre Dame - If he was coming to Miami, why wouldn't he already be committed? There is a reason he wants to check out Notre Dame. Also, McDermott's talk about his grandfather being a diehard ND fan and wanting to make him proud has me a little worried.
Sony - UGA - But I have no clue at this point. Maybe ND. I just don't get the vibe that he is coming to Miami.
It's been said a million times that KC is waiting to commit so his teammates get more exposure when coaches come to see him.

The only issue I have with this line of thinking for players is, who are the coaches at big time programs who quit recruiting a player because he is committed to a different school? Urban Meyer will FedEx a kid a paper shredder after he's signed his LOI to go elsewhere, but is suddenly going to respect the "sanctity" of a verbal commit?
If they dont choose the U, they will have some serious second thoughts after they watch us ****slap the Gators and rise back to the top of college football throughout the season! Especially if they attend that Gator game!
Like Trick said "you dont choose the U, yo mama aint raise you right"
Every kid in south Florida will be at that game. I typically don't put much stock into one game having that big of an impact on recruiting its more about relationships but this time it could be different. Do you think the result of that game will have a significant impact on recruits?
I see it having greater potential for us, especially with the Miami kids. A win would confirm what some of them are hoping, that Miami is back. Also, the natural buzz that will follow after beating a rival (especially in such a bandwagon city) would help with recruiting. A close loss to the Gators still shows these kids that Miami is right there, and that Golden is headed in the right direction. For the Gators, i don't think the effect is as strong as a win for us.

Some back off but others smell blood. The good staffs continue to try and recruit a kid until its signing day. The calls might slow down but they dont stop. They call every week to check in stop by and visit when they are "in the area". As long as the prospect is picking up the phone they continue to recruit. You never know what can happen to change a kids mind.cowboy,
if that whole scenario played out, we wouldn't have to start all over again. c'mon. if he shuts it down after committing, then, other schools will have stopped recruiting. i'm talking about a kid who tells everyone he is done. like duke. i don't think duke was being recruited too hard the last several months of his recruitment. maybe some letters. but, if a kid says he done, most probably back off out of respect and tell the kid to let them know if things change.
if all that plays out, sony knows UM well enough and if he wanted to get back in with UM, he'd know how.
