At Lville at night first game of the year, at Nebraska on a Saturday night, at GA Tech at night after they have a week off to prepare and we don't, Duke at home and At VA tech at night (even though they are down) is not a crappy schedule. Should we better than 5-3, yes but most likely 6-2 not 7-1 or 8-0. Keep being miserable Scuba after a very nice win. Not sure why you even bother to watch the games.

Agreed. Best case scenario is 6-2 right now.
You can't downplay VT's AT OSU. If that doesn't count then our opening night loss at Louisville doesn't count (I do believe we would beat them if we played next week).

Apples and oranges. Manziel and Winston had 15 months to learn the offensive system and be part of home and road game-time experience as red-shirt freshmen.

Nope, he is an alumni from Goldens school of excuses. Vpi and duke are great football teams, we have a top 30 defense, and we have a true freshman qb. We are lucky to be 5-3. Smug at the way golden has mofos so brainwashed. And if you make a better football point than them then you get the typical "if you're so smart, how come you're not coaching" response.

Just butthurt they don't know **** about football and can't make a decent argument without using coach speak and padded stats against sorry teams.

First, I'm not a Golden defender. I see the same problems everyone else does.

I think all FBS teams had a total of about 675 losses last year. I would guess that in at least 3/4 of those losses their fans would claim "we should have won". Sports fans are not reasonable. They want what makes them feel good. Anything else is unacceptable. I'm not immune to it either,

We are 5-3 and I see probably 2 more losses in the regular season. We won't win the Coastal. We will go to some irrelevant crappy bowl. Okay, I'm not happy about it. Given the fact that we have to ride with the players and coaches that we currently have, I can't say we should have won @ UL or Neb and be honest with myself. GT was painful to watch. So, to me, it might be reasonable to say "with different coaches and players" we should have won. The earliest we can have a change is next year. The reality of what we have right now, IMO, makes 8-0 unreasonable.

Each individual fan makes up the collective fan base. Fan base = money. School needs money. If fans don't give money then things change to please the fans and it's always been this way in most sports. To say that any fans voice means nothing is asinine. There are billions of people on the planet. Everyone can't be a coach but it doesn't mean that you can't learn it or play it.

CT, These fools are not happy unless ****ing. They know a true freshman started at QB against Louisville an Nebraska on the road and they expected to win those games. They will tell you the defense is terrible,poorly coached and Al has brought in jag talent and yet they are outraged win the team loses the road games. They want to play on both sides the fence,that way their view is never wrong. They think because they have 9,000 posts they are message board kings and think of their selves as such. Really it is sad because it really means they have no life. They want their beloved Canes to lose because they hate their selves for never doing enough with their life to get into coaching at the college level. They are not qualified to even post a resume at the U but yet they have all the answers. They are right about one thing,the players deserve better,better fans!

Ok, but with that being said, can you say that the Nebraska loss was because UM had a freshman QB? Kaaya played awfully well that night in Lincoln did he not? He wasn't a liability either vs Gatech. IMO, the coaches hand-cuffed the offense opening night.

Not trying to start a ****ing contest( there enough of those on here) but our freshman qb has been one of the best facets of this team in 2014, has he not?

Kaaya threw 2 inopportune ints at a critical point in the game. Duke's fumble was also a back breaker.

We just beat a rival who has owned us for years. We beat them at home where half the board, said would be impossible. We not only beat them but shamed them on Thursday night. Why do you and the haters feel no joy? A true freshman QB got his first road win in a hostile environment, why am I supposed to be upset? Fans are usually happy with a win,true?
