2025 Justus “Jay” Terry 5* DT from Manchester, GA Flips to Texas from UGA

Texas has been the true sleeping Giant in CFB. They needed a couple of seasons of success to get rolling but good luck stopping that train in recruiting. A good Texas is not something you want to see recruiting against you.
Where have yall been when have they not have good recruiting classes?.

They always recruit well n dont win sh-t they better win this year

Same with tx a&m we seen their use theur money a ton as well

They've always recruited well but had not had the success to sell up until recently. They've been top 5 or better since 2021 and before that, they had a few bad years where they ended up outside the top 10 if I'm not mistaken. If Texas is winning, theyre going to get whoever and whatever they want.

These kids are smart.

Cash in meow, because if you suck, you’ll be playing at Pelonker U in D3 taking buses.

As a side note, some colleges will go broke paying these kids that bust $500k just to show up.
and how many kids are going to lose the fire once they get a couple hundred k. Not realizing that isnt life altering. Probably be a 30 for 30 in about 5-8 years on the first crop of 4 and 5 star busts who all say "i got paid and lost the motivation to work not realizing this was just a short term fix for me and my family."

Interesting because teams seem more willing to process kids earlier like we did with Jaden Wayne who was pretty good blue chip kid who I can only assume wasn’t a cheap NIL package we put together… he wasn’t producing and was gone in less than two years

They might not just lose the fire they might just straight up not be good. May get over evaluated and be able to get the bag, until the school finds out he’s a jag. So then he gets processed out, so he might as well collect now

If JUCO years end up not counting against NCAA eligibility, then recruiting high school kids is going to end up being reserved for only like the top 200-300 kids. Everybody else will recruit from JUCO where there's more maturity and development.

Why pay a 17 year old HS kid $100k when you can get a 21 year old JUCO kid who has played against adults, been on his own, and worked out/developed for another 2 or 3 years for the same amount?

numbers dont lie
most players are jags
i dont know why its so hard for fans to understand that
even 5 stars more are jags than good
thats why you keep stacking them knowing most will be jags
thats why we gotta keep staacking like we do at DE

(it seems Jason Taylor is the only recruiter who undrestands this and he stacks elite talent yearly
for some reason he can convince them not be scared about a depth chart
he seems to have no excuses and just stacks high level recruits yearly)

so even though alot of our elite recruits are jags we process and move on
no hard feelings its just business now
so the kids got to cash in before their jagness is found out

thats why UGA keeps stacking 4/5 stars at Dline
they dont have some secret formula
it doesnt matter what school you go to across the board the numbers are roughly the same
they just stack so many elite recruits that it looks like they are developing them

This is where I still think NIL come back to earth over the next 4-5 years. Its to new and some schools want to win at any cost. But at some point these donors are going to want to see something in return. Most donors are all older money or businesses. Businesses at some point want a return and older money wont be here forever.

Younger generations arent donating in large sums for whatever reason.

Obviously there will always be payments. But I think NIL will become more and more talent/performance based once schools get the feel for contracts.

College Sports has become a real joke just ask coach Jim Larranaga. It's no longer a fun to watch. The officiating is terrible, the NCAA is a complete disaster, the $$$$ controls the entire game, and these kids could give a hoot about the fans. Everything is overpriced so some coaches can laugh all the to the bank along with these teenagers. What do these individuals contribute to society? In my opinion absolutely nothing and it also contributes to one of the worst addictions which is gambling. GOOD RIDDANCE TO COLLEGE SPORTS ESPECIALLY FOOTBALL & BASKETBALL!
