I spoke with someone from the Marion County pigskin report. Told me that him and our 2018 CB/S commit Jalen Patterson from his same school are very close. Despite Watkins being committed to LSU. He does have interest in Miami. They're friends with former Miami QB Commit N'kosi Perry as well. Watkins used to play at Vanguard with Perry.
 
Also. Perry was not dropped. Richt and Lil Richt had a lot of interest in Perry, they went up to see him quite a few times, just not a fit for the offense.
 
I was just about to say that they were going to be **** if they stayed together I remember watching them his freshman year I knew he was gonna be legit I think Watkins will switch up hopefully he doesn't follow the usual north Marion trend and go to the gators it's like all there best players end up at that waste plant in Gainesville

It's truly a shame that he's thirty minutes from the Gators....I think this is the first time I saw a 6*.
 
When we start winning we can compete for the best players in and around G'ville like we used to do, Lamar Thomas, Clinton Portis and Yatil Green (Lake City). Once we win and pop on TV it's a rap. Florida strength is SEC, big stadium and facilities. There'll be some country boys and SoFl boys who will go to G'ville, but on the whole we should always be able to secure more talent than them.
