Minkah was supposed to be a do-it-all DB but there has to come a time when the staff finds your lone role. Miami used him at every position on defense and it started to take a toll when the rest of the defense wasn't matching his skillset.

Pittsburgh recognized that his skillset was better used in the back-end (they have used him 80% of the time at deep safety as opposed to Miami using him 22%) and he has single-handedly transformed their defense and is one of the best Safeties in the league. The Steelers have a top 5 pass D as well

Single handedly? Lol. The middle of the field is wide open most games because he takes chances which is a good and bad thing. Their defense is better bc they are not playing the patriots, Seahawks, or 49ers like they did to start the season. The pass rush and the easiest schedule in football has turned that team around.

He only plays free safety/slot corner, not a Swiss army. You don’t draft a free safety with a top 15 pick. Sometimes it is better to be lucky then good bc 3/4 of his interceptions are on tip passes. Good free safety just isn’t what he was advertised as and his position isn’t worth a high pick in a draft bc he doesn’t ply a premium position.

From the USC insider on their 247 board, Oregon and Miami commits are telling reporters that Flowe is coming to their schools. Clemson still thought to be the leader. One source not affiliated with USC thinks he ends up at USC. Sounds like he's telling all 4 schools all the right things.

Exactly why Manny and his defensive staff are left at the alter year after year by elite prospects. Just out of touch with what prospects are actually doing. This year they have some backup plans but it’s still alarming

i mean if a kid is telling you hes coming and you have a backup plan, as well, what are you gonna do? you cant not take the kid or save the spot for the kid if hes legit saying im coming. as long as the staff has a backup plan, it doesnt matter.

Gotta have awareness that you just went 6-6 and you’re competing with teams that went 13-0 and 11-2 and the defending national champ that is gonna land 5 of the top 10 players in the country. The kid is telling everyone he’s coming. Gotta be smarter than the kid

and if thye have backup options ready in case he doesnt come, who cares is the point? as long as theyre not putting everything in the flowe basket w no other options, i dont care. you cant just not recruit the kid regardless of the record or the teams vying for his signature if he is showing actual interest.
