The West Coast 247 insider spoke to Flowe when he returned home. Here are a few highlights of the interview:

“This was my second time visiting Miami and I really enjoyed myself out there,” Flowe said. “I was out there in the spring so I already had a good idea what the school was like and had toured the campus and met all the coaches. This time around, it was just a more laid back visit and I was more comfortable because I had visited earlier and knew everyone already.
"The biggest thing was being able to see a game and that was good. My flight got delayed so I didn’t get there until halftime but the team looked really good and I enjoyed the game atmosphere. It was pretty electric there and when I walked in, I felt like I had all eyes on me, everyone knew who I was so it was a pretty cool experience.”
Flowe said he’s looking at all of his official trips as business trips and is taking a serious approach to all of them.

“I know there’s a lot of glitz and glamour with Miami,” Flowe said. “There’s a lot going on with South Beach and it’s a great atmosphere. I was able to go out and see some of that but honestly for me, I want these visits to be more business like and to feel like a regular student.

“That’s what I’m looking at. I want to see what it would be like to be a regular student and I was able to do that. It was a serious trip for me and the coaches were great.
"Coach Diaz told me I remind him of a lot of the great linebackers that have played at Miami in the past and feels I can be a real impact guy right away. He said they want someone who can come in and change the program around and he thinks I can be that guy.”

Flowe said Miami is definitely a school he’s giving a strong look at right now.

“Yeh, I like Miami for sure and I can see myself there,” Flowe said. “I wouldn’t have taken the visit if I didn’t have interest and that’s why they’re in my top four.

“It’s a really good school, not just football wise but I like the school itself and the opportunities they provide for you outside of football. I love the tradition they have so Miami is definitely high on my list.”

Lol. Dude a lot of people are beating there chest that they were right the entire time. That’s low key “glad he’s not coming or I would have looked silly on CIS for being wrong” type ****. You know the vibes around here when it comes to that ****.
I think we got a better chance to get him than people think.

Justin Flowe started taking his official visits last weekend when he went to Miami.

The other three that are planned - Clemson, Georgia and Oregon - will have a high bar to reach because the five-star linebacker from Upland, Calif., had an excellent time with the Hurricanes.

“I got there and it was all glitz and glamour,” Flowe said. “It was all fun and I had a really good time. I got in-depth with the campus, the real key things about the school. When I got to Miami, I focused on me living there, the key things, and the program itself and being at Miami.

“Their pitch was that they have two seniors leaving and that I’m a guy and everything so they were telling me if I came in I would be an instant, instant impact to their program. Just be ready to come in and just take over. I’m really humble so I took it as I’m going to come in and be working and everything, just be the best I can be.”

The history and tradition of Miami’s program which includes that swagger on defense, the toughness and the confidence, is how Flowe plays the game. He knows all about The U and seeing it up close and personal this past weekend was a huge deal.
“I’ve been knowing about the Hurricanes since I was a kid,” Flowe said. “Ray Lewis and everything that the U brings, Ed Reed. The way they brought up the Miami Hurricanes, I think about that all the time because they really do have that swag and that’s how I play so it’s all good.”

Clemson is considered a frontrunner for Flowe and getting there this weekend could be big for the five-star linebacker. But he said every visit including ones to Georgia and Oregon in the coming weeks is important since a big decision is coming up soon.

“I feel like every visit I take out of my top four is going to be really big for me because those are my favorite schools and the schools I’m focused on more so every school in my top four is going to be a really big focus for me to make sure I know what I want to do,” Flowe said

From all the interviews I have seen, I have seen nothing that would lead me to believe this won't come down to the wire with us right in the thick of things. Fully suspect this to be a Clemson vs UM battle. Can never count Mario out because hes an ace recruiter though. He doesn't seem like a "UGA kid" to me. Just saying.

And all this "USC hires a high profile coach they will be in it" talk is WAY premature. Those bums have been talking about Jack Del Rio and Jeff Fisher coming back to save them for the last 15 years. It aint happening, Trojans! So I don't think they get a visit.

“ A spot opened “ .....ok
OU was taking 3 WRs and 3 committed, including Arjei Henderson. Haselwood was not included in those 3. Not saying he wasn't ranked higher than the 3 OU accepted, but OU shut down WR recruiting once they got their 3. Then Arjei Henderson became academically ineligible, so "a spot opened" and OU filled it with Haselwood. All I'm saying is that OU was done at receiver and it didn't include Haselwood. Not saying he wasn't ranked higher than the others. So, it was a huge win for OU, having one of your commits fall out due to academics and getting to fill it with a guy like Haselwood.

Yep.

I guess you’re right , I knew nothing about what went on with that kids recruitment ......

Hasselwood had already taken all of his OVs when he was still all aboard the UM train. The culture of the program around that time is what killed us with him. He even said it himself and its been talked about numerous times. People don't want to believe that because its easier to say he was trolling us or he was paid off by OU then to actually believe he wanted to be here but the culture he couldn't vibe with.

Many fans forget that Dec 2018 was a very bad time around this program. Most fans had already jumped ship and said they were done and the ones that were left were basically saying the program was dead. Go back and look at some of those threads around the time we lost to Wisconsin. What 5* player from OOS no less would sign up for that?

We actually have something to sell to a kid like Flowe. If we were 9-1 we would have more to sell but hey, you gotta use what you got.

He would kill it in our scheme and would probably start day one.
